So Friday night, I asked my dad if I could go with them to Dairy Queen. He said yes, as I hoped he would. I went to my room and texted Patricia that I could go. So than I went to sleep, excitedly waiting for the next morning.
....................................
So Saturday morning, I got up early so I could be awake and get ready. The get together is twelve, but I got up at eight. Probably the earliest I have ever gotten up on a Saturday. Either way, on a Saturday, I get up earlier than my dad. So as I finished getting ready, I went outside getting on my bike, so eager to get to Dairy Queen. Than my phone buzzed. "At DQ. Waiting for you" So I got on my bike and raced to Dairy Queen. I pulled up and put a bike lock on it. I went in, and there they were, waiting at the table. "Ice cream is on me." William said, looking straight at me. I looked down and smiled. "So what does everyone want?"
"Cookie Dough!"
"Banana Split!"Peanut Butter Cookie Dough!"
"Oreo!"
Than everyone looked at me. I blushed. "I have never been to Dairy Queen, so I do not know what they have." Everyone's jaw dropped.
"YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO DAIRY QUEEN??!!" They all said it at once. I felt like an outcast now. William just laughed, "Come up with me than." So I got up and went to the front with him. I looked at the list as he started to say what everyone ordered. I was trying to decide what I wanted, but than Aaron came in. I elbowed William lightly, and he looked at me, and than at Aaron. "Just hurry up and order." He said lightly. So we grabbed the tray and went to our table. "So, Emma, tell us more about you."
"What am I supposed to tell you?"
"Anything."
"Well, I was home schooled all my life. I live with my dad only."
"What happened to your mom?"
"I would rather not talk about that." Everyone looked down.
"Sorry."
"It is okay."
William just stared at me. I think he was more curious than anyone else. He kept staring at me, even after I looked away. "So, now, Emma, you can ask us any question. But the only rule, we have to answer truthfully. " Patricia said.
"What if I can not think of any questions? I am not good with asking questions."
"Oh, okay than. Than what should we do?" We all looked at her and shrugged. I especially could not think of anything. We all looked like we were thinking. I laughed. I decided I am going to go home. "Well, I am going to go home."
"Already?"
"Yeah, I usually am not in public, and it is starting to get to me. I have anxiety."
"Oh, okay. Well see ya!"
As I got up, they all waved. So I walked to my bike, unlocked it, and rode home. It was fun, but it was something to get used to. I rode by the woods I went into the first time that we came here. I walked in, and my dad must have gotten up because he was not on the couch like he was when I left. I just walked to my room, got my backpack, and gathered my drawing supplies. I rode to the woods and found the same spot. This time, I listened to music and started drawing my surroundings. Than I heard rustling behind me, which scared the crap out of me. I looked behind me, it was just a wolf. I sighed relief. I started to draw it. It was so pretty. It started to come closer, and I realize it was bigger than a real wolf. I did pay no attention to it. I just thought it was cooler. But it was coming closer, and once it got so closer, it was like two inches away from me. Than he came up and started to cuddle with me. I do not know how he did not crush me, that is how big he was. But he licked my face. I started laughing. Than, he looked into my eyes and did the same thing that William does. And than I remembered that William is a werewolf. I looked back into his eyes and said in my head that I knew it was him, assuming that he could tell that I was saying that. He looked away, and changed. "I knew it." I said through a laugh.
