Nick's pov
I walked through the door to find my mother glaring at me. "Nickolas, where have you been?"I gulped, "Mother I told you I was staying at Luke's house." Her glare dropped and she walked away. I headed up to my room and found a brand new tux on my bed. It was a dark green with black trimming. I put it on. I used to love going to these parties but since I've been around the gang all I see is plastic and money that means nothing to me. I waited in my room just texting Luke telling him how I hate it here. "Nick come downstairs!"
"Coming!" I heard my phone vibrate and looked at it for a second. Sierra had sent a pic, she was naked with the white sheets just below her belly button. Underneath was the caption. " Cant wait till tomorrow ;)" This girl is gonna kill me. I shoved my phone in my pocket and went downstairs. I stood off to the side not really wanting to be social. I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Not enjoying the party?" I smiled and turned around hugging the girl. Lily was my cousin, she had long brown hair and bright blue eyes. Her skin was paler than mine but it fit her. She was always kind and pretty down to earth. The only person in my family that was normal. I laughed,"that obvious?"
She shrugged, "To those that pay attention, your head is down and your blinking slowed meaning you were deep in thought." Did I mentioned that she was very good at reading people? I nodded,"I was." She smiled and looked around, probably sensing that I wasnt in the mood to talk about it. "So many people look forward to this party, every year, I ask myself why and I still have no answer," she sighed. I felt the same way but I was to afraid to speak it out loud for fear of one of my parents co-workers hearing me. Me and Lily spent the day just catching up. At around 10 pm I felt my phone vibrate.
