They set up in a hotel close to the middle of the village. It was actually a nice little suite. It had a living room area, a kitchen, one bathroom, and one....bedroom. Choji felt this was going to be an awkward conversation, but it seemed Karui did not think so. Her so called pajamas left little to the imagination. "OK, so tomorrow we'll take a sort of tour of this village. We need to find every potential exit and also where it is our comrades are likely being held." She stated as she prepared a plate of barbeque. It turned out the barbeque was not for her though, as she handed it to Choji.
"It going to be a long day tomorrow. We'll need our rest." Karui seemed to be implying they should go to bed early, but, as he finished his plate, Choji was still trying to figure out if they would share the bed together. "You coming, Akimichi?" She said as she neared the bedroom doorway. That answered Choji's question.
As he laid with her, Choji's mind began to wonder. Was this a crush? Surely, anyone would be feeling this way if they had a beautiful woman lying next to them, right? Surely, anyone would be feeling this way, if that woman had bought three days' worth of barbeque? No, not likely. Only Choji would be smitten with the woman who bought barbeque. However, she was not just pretty and considerate when it came to food; she was funny also. Not to mention affectionate, but that could be because she was in character. Could it all be because she was in character? If the mission required a long stay, three days of barbeque would be necessary. However, she could have chosen anything else, but she chose barbeque, because he liked it. He had a feeling it was going to be hard to sleep tonight. A beautiful woman next to him, his mind racing, and not to mention it was freezing.
"Akimichi?" He turned his head to look at her, but she was lying on her side, facing the other direction. "You can call me Choji, Karui." There it was; another reason why this could not be a crush. She had only referred to him by last name. If there was chemistry between them, she would have called him Choji. "Will you hold me, Akimichi?" Then again, there were other ways to develop chemistry. Choji was well insulated and he felt cold. He could only imagine how she must have been feeling. "....uh... Sure." He turned to face the same direction she was and held her from behind. Her small body felt so cold and he was actually pretty warm compared to her. It was official; Choji had developed a crush on Karui. This was an odd feeling really. He had never had a crush before. He saw Ino like a sister, Sakura was scary, Hinata was clearly in love with Naruto, and TenTen and he never said more than a few words to each other. Regardless, this was a crush. He was sure of it. Surely, it was harmless. If anything it would help his character during the mission tomorrow.
The next morning Choji awoke to an empty bed and the smell of barbeque. "The morning rush will be starting soon. That's when we'll go up and down this village." She said as she placed a plate in front of him. The serving was the exact size of what he usually ate, still he lied, "this is a lot of barbeque." Karui did not reply, she only winked and with that wink Choji was convinced he had met the perfect woman. However, today was the time to be focused.
The village was enclosed in a giant hexagon. Each corner had a tower with guards at the top. "They would spot us if we climbed over." Karui said as she looked around using her peripherals. Choji placed a hand on the wall, "it's not too thick. I could punch through it, but that wouldn't be sneaky either." She had an impressed look on her face after that last statement. "You're all man, sweetie." Choji simply laughed as they continued to walk hand in hand.
It seemed the best option was the front entrance, which just happened to be on the opposite side of the prison. The two guards that stood at the entrance would notice them, but at least they would be close to being out. The real question was, how to sneak through an entire prison to find the comrades unnoticed. The answer: a guard uniform.
"We get our hands on one of those guard uniforms. You go in and find our missing comrades." The plan was not fool proof by no means. It was barely even a plan; it was an idea, at most. Nevertheless, Choji agreed. Shikamrau would have come up with a better plan, but he was not Shikamaru. "Can you handle this Akimichi?" The truth was he could not. Choji was not exactly an expert on stealth, but the uniform would not fit Karui and yet, Choji nodded. What was he doing? He knew his limitations and he knew this was a bad idea, but what was he doing? Was he trying to impress her? Was he trying to look good in front of her? This was so stupid. He was going to get caught.
