A Lovely Mission: Choji Meets Karui

Mission Accomplished

They were now at the rendezvous point with the missing shinobi. They were miles away from the village and they still had not heard an alarm. The mission had been successful. Choji should have been happy, but instead he was feeling down. It was now time to part. The woman he had spent the last two with was about to leave. He was glad the mission was successful, he really was, but there had never been a good time to tell her how he felt. Time was running out.

"Karui, I..." Before he could finish, Karui has already pressed her lips against his. Choji's mind disappeared in that moment. Every moment they spent together came flying back. Walking hand in hand, sharing meals together, and her tiny frame in his arms; these memories rushed to his head. He felt happy.

"Thank you. Thank you for saving me." Choji was still blushing as she took a step back. "I guess we better get going. The alarm is going to sound soon and they'll be out looking for us." Choji nodded. The mission was accomplished, but he still needed to get home. Karui turned to walk, but stopped about half way. "Um... you should come visit me some time. I'd really like that.....Choji." She smiled and joined the now rescued shinobi. Choji could only stand and smile. She finally said his name. His first name. It sounded so sweet.
