"Okay everyone this our last heist and then we all go our separate ways as if we don't know each other at all. Is that clear?"
Everybody nods in agreement to what Nick is saying.
Jullian then decides to take the lead, "Everybody will get the amount of money they agreed upon." After a pause, he added, "Any questions?"
A series of 'no' was heard from the meeting.
Jillian nods his head satisfied, "Perfect!" He exclaims with a clap and turns to Nick, "Whenever you're ready?"
Nick gave a smug grin and pressed enter in his laptop making the screen in the conference room light up with a slideshow. He pressed another key which led to the next page of the slideshow. It was a blueprint of the building the Winter Ball was hosted in Berlin.
"This is the safe room." He informed, pointing to the small room in the corner with his red laser pointer pen. Then, moving the pointer to the middle space before he spoke, "And this is the hall the Winter Ball being hosted at."
Closing the pen, he turned to address us, "Security will be even tighter than before. Every place will be guarded and only people on the list will be allowed in. Luckily, Jullian is on that list and Ashley." He paused and glanced at me, giving a playful wink.
Just then, one of Nick's hired men raised his hand up.
Everyone gave him a strange look but Jullian gave him a small nod for him to speak up.
"How are we going to get in?" The guy's gruff voice spoke.
Nick gave him an irritated look, "I was going to get to that part, had I not been interrupted."
Nick cleared his throat before beginning, "I happen to be on the list too, so I'll be able to get in but not all of you can go in through the entrance. I'm sure you all know your jobs since their the same as last time. Group A will be dressed up as waiters, Group B as chefs and Group C as janitors. There will be a twist this time though."
Once again, the same guy raised up his hand.
Nick gave him an exasperated look but nodded for him to proceed.
"What's the twist?" His gruff voice spoke once again.
Everyone in the room held in their snickers, including Jullian and I, as Nick gave the poor guy a glare, "Who even hired this guy?"
The poor guy gave a frown and sank down in his seat looking sullen.
Jullian waved his hand in dismissal as he opened his mouth to speak, "You did. Now continue on with the plan."
Nick lets out a sigh before continuing, "Two of you will be going through the air vent with me that leads to the safe room. Security will be guarding the door from outside, not inside. Although there will be security cameras inside those will be taken care by the tech group. The cameras will be disabled for two minutes, which is enough time for us to collect the money and get the hell out of there."
Everyone nodded in agreement, satisfied with the plan.
Once Nick saw that there were no objections he turned off the powerpoint and turned to address everyone, "You're all dismissed now. Just make sure to come in on time tomorrow and not screw up."
Everyone got up and gathered their belongings and rushed out of the door, leaving Nick, Jullian and I alone. Jullian and I were sitting across from Nick, who was typing furiously on his laptop so I get up and sit in the vacant seat beside him. Nick looks up and gives me a smile when I approach him, pulling me into his lap and wrapping his arms around me. From this angle, I can see what he's doing on his laptop.
"How long do you think it'll take you to take the money and put it in my safe?"
Jullian's voice breaks the silence. Nick gives him a confused look, but answers. "The money will be put into your safe by the next day." After a thought, Nick added. "Why?"
Instead of answering, Jullian quickly packs up his belongings and stands up, walking to the exit. "I was just making sure."
The sound of the door closing is heard and I look up to Nick.
"Well, that was weird."

"...the leader of the heist may have gotten away last night, but not for lon-"
Nick mutes the TV and buried his head in the crook of my neck. Currently, I was currently snuggled up against Nick on the couch in my apartment. Last night was a success and since it would be Nick's last, he was sulking about it in my apartment.
I let out a smile before speaking, "Look on the bright side, you can have a normal life now and get a normal job."
Nick tries to bury his face deeper into the crook of my neck which muffles his voice, "I did have a normal job."
I let out a snort, tugging at his dirty blond locks to bring his face up. "Yeah, because everyone leads heists like you do." I remark sarcastically.
Nick sat up straighter, his green eyes gleaming with mischievousness. "Maybe." He states and then starts tickling me.
Against my laughter, I try to pry his hands off me. "Nick, stop!" I squealed.
Nick finally stops tickling me and laughs with me. Our laughter dies down when a knock is heard from the door. Nick stands up to go answer the door, leaving me on the couch confused at who it could be. Just as I approach Nick, he opens the door.
Shit. I thought.
"Are you Nick Matthews?" Out of the two officers, the tall, dark-skinned police officer asked.
Nick had a passive expression on his face and remained calm, giving nothing away. "Yes."
"You're under arrest."
