Chapter 2: Real home

The house was huge, three stories high. It was... Ummm... It was amazing.

"Come and sit with us, Bree." Carlisle said. Everyone one else filtered in the door behind me. I just stood there in awe. I realized that everyone was staring at me so I went and sat down. I looked around me. Where did the human and the redhead go? The blond female vampire came over to me.

"Edward took Bella home." The way that she said her name made it sound like she had something against the human. I nodded. She chuckled, probably at my gaurded expression.

"I'm Rosalie, by the way." I smiled at her and she smiled back. She went over and sat beside the biggest of the vampires. Carlisle cleared his throat -- just to get everyone's attention, of course.-- he stood in front of everybody with a woman with caramel colored hair.

"As you have probably already guessed, Bree, I am Carlisle and I am the father of this family. Edward was the next one to join our family. I changed him right before he died of the Spanish influenza in 1918.Edward is actually with his fiancée, Bella." My mouth dropped open. He was getting married to a human? Either he lost his sense of smell or he really loved this girl.

"Yes, I know it's alot to take in, but Bella is the girl that Edward has been waiting for, for 100 years."

"But how does he stand it?"

"He loves her and she loves him. We're just glad that he's happy." He shrugged passing it off. I nodded slowly. So I was right with my second guess. He really loved her, I guess. He gestured to the woman next to him.

"As I was saying," Carlisle continued, "Esme was the next person that I changed. She had jumped off of a cliff, but her heart was still beating. She is my wife. Next to join us was Rosalie. We found her bleeding on the street, someone had beat her." Rosalie's lips curled back to show her teeth.

"Next was Emmet," The big one came over and held out his hand. I reached ot and took it. Then he flung me over his shoulder. I was so surprised that a small snarl left my lips and he immediatly put me down. I frowned at him.

"Why did you put me down?" He blinked a couple of times.

"Because I didn't want to fight with you." He said, surprised. I laughed. He looked at me like I was nuts.

"I snarled because you caught me off gaurd. I'm fine with you picking me up. I remember someone doing that with me when I was younger." I explained to him.

"Oh, okay." He pulled me up and over his shoulder again. I laughed. I hadn't been this happy since Dieg-- No. No, I wouldn't think of that here. Not now. He put me back down and Carlisle continued,

"Rosalie found him about to be finished of by a bear and she carried him miles and miles to get back to where we were liveing at the time."

"Wow." I gawked. Carlisle nodded.

"Yes, and then there are Alice and Jasper who showed up out of no where,"

"Scared the hell out of us, too." Edward's voice startled me, it shouldn't have, though because I heard him and the human come in. Then I smelt her. I ran towards the human. That's all that she was now, my next meal. I didn't just want her. I needed her. Several pairs of hands grabbed onto me.

"Get Bree out of here! NOW!" Edward yelled. No! No! The girl was getting farther away. I thrashed against the hands. I needed her blood.

Then I was outside and I could think clearly. What had I done? There was no way that they would keep me now.
