Chapter One : So Close.

It was August 5th, which meant that it was exactly One week and 5 days away from being Cici's 18th Birthday. It's exciting, as it should be. It was her 18th birthday, after all. But Cici was excited for a completely different reason. Quite a dumb reason, but that was normal for the weird, hopeful girl.

Cici, consumed in happiness, which was rare, pulled out her cellphone and pulled up the group chat she was in with her two best friends, Yoo Mi and Ha Yeon. She's known them for two years now, and they were close as ever.

Cici: Guys

Cici: One week

Ha Yeon: Ne?

Yoo Mi : Huh?

Cici: And 5 days

Ha Yeon: Yah! Speak Clearly!

Cici sighed at her best friends forgetfulness, but it was the one thing the three of them had in common. They were all completely different. Ha Yeon was brutish, she was a heavier girl weighing around 190, but it evened out nicely because she was a nice height at 5 foot 7, but she was also very strong, both mind a muscle wise. If someone made her angry, she wasn't afraid of confrontation, especially if someone was in the wrong, she was the oldest of the three, so she was very moralized, as she wanted her younger friends to learn right. She was also very impatient. 

Yoo Mi on the other hand,was a thinner girl who stood at 5 foot 6 and weighed no more than 115 pounds, she was also very intelligent, But that also meant that she rarely tolerated ignorance, she often snapped at Cici for it, but felt bad afterwards, knowing that her younger friend couldn't help it. Yoo Mi was also very impatient, but never let it show. And like Ha Yeon, she wanted Cici to learn what was right. 

And lastly, there was Cici. Being the only American in the group, and the youngest, tow years younger than Ha Yeon, one year younger than Yoo Mi, her views and attitude were totally different. For starters she was only 5 foot 3, and weighed around 165 pounds. She was used to America, so she often finds herself getting irritated when she can't understand something in Korean. She was adopted when she was 10 From America by a Korean Family. She's not very bright, but she certainly tries her hardest. 

She's an extremely determined girl, which is usually why people come to like her. She doesn't give up. She has her weak moments, but they don't stop her.

She was also a hardcore BTS fan. Her friends didn't really get into those kinds of things, and called them childish, but Cici was childish. She was like a kid, she was annoying to put it shortly. She often clung to her friends when they were together, and asked lots of dumb questions, and cries easily, especially when people say she doesn't belong in her family.

 She knew that her blonde hair and green eyes stood out when she was with family, but she didn't need others to tell her that, she just wanted to be happy. But Like stated before, she was determined to act stronger.

The childish girl sighed and responded with anguish.

Cici: I'll finally be 18. TT

Yoo Mi: Oh

Yoo Mi: I forgot about that.

Ha Yeon: Oops

Cici: Yah! Don't you remember what i said two years ago? 

Yoo Mi: You expect us to remember something YOU said two years ago?

Cici: We just talked about it a few weeks ago! The video?

Yoo Mi: Video?

Ha Yeon: Oh!

FLASHBACK- It was two years ago, on Cici's 16th birthday. It was August 17th and the girls were getting ready to film.
