Chapter 4 ||brunch

I woke up to the sum beaming in my face. I totally forgot I had my curtains set to open at 10:00 so it would wake me. Apparently it didn't. It was 11:13.
Oh no I'm going to be late for brunch with Jughead.

I put on light make-up like always, with a light red lip gloss. I took a red hair tie and put it in a pony tail in the back of my head. I put on a red v-neck with a black skirt and black slides. I texted Jughead and told him I was on my way. It is 12:05 now and I was heading out of my room. I checked in on Veronica. She was still sleep. Probably from talking to archiekins all night. I giggled and then I got a text from Jughead.

Jug🤫😊: no no no, I'm not ready for you to come.

Betty😇: late for your own event??🤣

Jug🤫😊: no, I just need to get ready myself.

Betty😇: I'm not even gonna ask. I'm coming in 5 minutes Okay? Plus it's still about a 15 minute drive to your place.

Jug🤫😊: okay, Thxs😅😬

I giggled. When I walked up stairs I saw Erin with his bags on his phone. I totally forgot! Erin was leaving.

"Erin!" I startled him and he looked up at me. "I totally forgot you were leaving."

"Yup waiting on the taxi now." He pointed at the door. "Going somewhere?"

"Yea, Jughead asked me to have brunch with him." Erin grinned at me.

"Oh did he now?"

"Yes. Yes he did." I tilted my head up confidently. Erin still grinned at me. "Nothing is happening between us."

"Yea, ok." We heard a car horn out side. " well there's my ride." He said picking up his bags. I went up to him and gave him a hug. "Say bye to Ron for me, please."

"Of course." I pulled away.

"Bye Betty. And I hope things work out for you and Jughead." He winked at me walking out the door.

"Bye Erin." I smiled.

I left out the house to go have brunch with Jughead.

I knocked on the door with a rose in my hand. I thought it would be funny to get Jughead a rose as if I were a guy picking up a girl for a date.
There was no answer I knocked on the door again, then about 10 seconds later Jughead came to the door. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and some black skinny jeans with white converse. His outfits were always casual...

He laughed at me.

"What?" I asked him.

"Oh nothing, but you look like a idiot." I was surprised he just said that. I began to tear up. "Oh no no no Betty. I-I'm sorry I was just making a joke." He pulled me in for a hug but before he could I punch him in the stomach. "Ahhh, what was that for."

"Oh nothing it's just, I look like an idiot but, you are an idiot." I walked past him pushing the rose into his chest, walking into his apartment laughing.

He chuckled at me, " You are something Betty Cooper, and you really had me." I blushed.

I looked around the apartment. It really clean. It was fresh clean like Jughead made it look nice just for me. I walked in some more and saw a table set up with food ready to be eatin' . I was surprised. I thought we were just gonna order a pizza or something.
