"Accelerate more, you idiot!" Namjoon laughed as he hurried his dongsaeng. He felt the violent gust of wind against him and the coldness biting at his tanned skin. Embracing it, he stood up in the car and proceeded to spread his arms out, he'd let the air brush his hair back and push him back a little, testing his balance.
"Fine," Jungkook whined, "if I speed past that white car, you owe me ten-thousand won!"
Namjoon laughed, as he sat back down and ruffled Jungkook's hair.
"Aish, is my dongsaeng greedy for money now? Yah..hyung shouldn't encourage betting..hmm." Namjoon mused, before changing his mind."Alright, go beat that loser and show who's boss!" He said, earning a wide grin from his dongsaeng.
"Noted." Jungkook replied cheekily as he pressed the gas pedal and accelerated, creating a rumble from the engine as the vehicle began to speed up.
Determined, he fixed his eyes on the faint white dot ahead that represented the car, he switched lanes and pressed the gas pedal further. Although the white car was approximately two-hundred metres ahead, Jungkook didn't let it out of his sight, continuing to maintain the high speed.
A relatively big t-junction came into view when they were gaining up on the small vehicle. Gritting his teeth, Jungkook knew deep down that he was close to winning. Namjoon yelled strange facts to strangers passing by. Laughing his head off while he asked pedestrians the random questions.
"DID YOU KNOW THAT BANGING YOUR HEAD AGAINST A WALL CAN BURN A HUNDRED AND FIFTY CALORIES?"
"YOU KNOW MOST TOILET PAPER ROLLS SOLD IN FRANCE FOR HOME USE ARE PINK!"
Sighing as he shook his head because of his hyung's silliness, Jungkook persisted to remain focused to the task. Abruptly, the green light changed colours to orange, just as Jungkook catches up to the white car and was hot on its trail. Refusing to lose, he quickly switched lanes.
Without hesitation, he removed pressure from the brake pedal and steps firmly on the gas pedal, driving the car to a fast-but most definitely illegal 120 km/hr speed. The white car safely slowed down to a stop as the red light flashed on. A heartbeat later, Jungkook and Namjoon whizzed past the vehicle and Jungkook lets out a cry of victory.
"I did it hyung. Ten-thousand." Jungkook exclaimed as he turned to face his hyung, as they sped across the junction. Namjoon beamed, his pride written all over his face.
"Alright, bud. You earned that."
They smiled at each other whilst exchanging a bro-handshake. The car was nearly halfway across when-crash.
The impact of the other car collided into their car with such force and celerity that both boys didn't even get to scream. The red car smashed into the right side of their car, breaking Namjoon, as the car flipped sideways. Jungkook fell forwards and his nose collided with the handbrake, and blood dripped down his face. Namjoon's bones, muscles and lungs felt like a delicate piece of paper being crumbled, ripped apart and then smashed into a confined box while being thrown back and forth. The window shattered onto Namjoon while Jungkook's shoulder banged into the hard car door.
