As seniors on the first day of school, nothing was left to do other than just sit around the whole hour. Study hall was a great time to actually have time to study in school. While most skip this period, I being the valedictorian, needs to use up all the time I can get. However, this year I'm going to have to stretch out my schedule to fit in tutoring my friends. Sacrificing my study hall period, I took up the corner of the room to begin my tutoring lessons. We set up the tables and chairs facing me and each of the girls sat excitedly in front of me as I laid out my books and notes on my own desk. Rhea darted her hand up waving it a little to get my attention. With an amused smile, I ceased my movements and nodded for Rhea to speak. "What lesson are we learning today Ms. Price?" The other girls giggled like young school girls as I stood in front of them like a teacher.
I mentally cringed at the name reminding me of my....adoptive mother. She never will be a mother to me and Aimee, only by name. Pushing the thought away, I turn my attention back to them. "What subjects are you all struggling with? That way I can teach a different lesson to cover all of your needs."
"MATH!!" Was all I heard from the ladies as they shouted simultaneously at me. I immediately shushed them and looked around the room if we created a scene. Other students looked at us amused while the rest were unaffected by the volume. There was no teacher in study hall, the school giving us this time for ourselves. Which is careless because some just skip or mess around during this time. I walked over to the shelf of school textbooks and picked up Algebra. With luck on our side, a mobile white board was left abandoned in the back of the room. I wheeled the board to our corner and tested the markers. Nodding my head in approval, I wrote Algebra on the center of the board.
Clearing my throat to get their attention, they sat patiently in front of me. Smiling in satisfaction I proceed with the lesson for them remaining hour. "Okay class," I started, the girls snickering. "Get out papers and a pencil, today's first lesson is Algebra." I stated

After cramming variables and equations into their heads, the bell signaled the end of study hall. We packed up our bags and headed towards our next class. Leaving the tables alone since no one really moves anything, we separated at the door bidding farewell and thanks. I turned around in the direction of my next class but ended up walking into a wall, a muscular, moving wall that smelled musky with a hint of vanilla which filled my senses.
My small frame was knocked back by the sudden force. I closed my eyes instinctively waiting for the impact of the fall but it never came. A firm grip on my waist was held by strong arms that kept me close. The wall vibrated with a deep chuckle. I opened my eyes slowly seeing the soft material of black against my cheek. Tilting my head up, a unique blue hue held me captive. Our eyes locked for a moment before the sound of the bell knocked me out of my trance. I stepped out of the hold, my eyes darting to the floor staring at the unappealing blue color it had. I felt heat creep up my neck to my cheeks for getting so easily distracted. "I'm sorry for walking into you, I-I wasn't really paying attention." I mentally gave myself a face palm for stuttering.
That deep chuckle reverberated through his chest once more as he smiled, amused from my stuttering. "I really don't mind, it should be I who should be apologizing to you, in fact. I'm sorry for almost knocking you down."
I was afraid to look back at him, his eyes so distracting. The blue of his eyes held a playful, carefree glint to them. I lifted my head and settled to look at his lips which was a huge mistake. He licked his lips unconsciously which in turn made me bite my own. "It's totally fine, you saved me before I fell so thank you. I should probably get going, the tardy bell is about to ring."
