A/N- this one is for @DannyRicc17, hope you like it x
Your friends always joked that you were like Cinderella; always cooking and cleaning every inch of your house, not to mention that you looked after your little brother as if he were your own child. You never really had the time to go out as you were always busy being the live-in maid for your home as a result as this you have never spoken to a man you were not related to for more than 3 sentences, let alone kissed one.
To get the story completely straight, you were not a complete Cinderella, there was no wicked stepmother, you didn't sleep with mice and your parents were nice people they just had very busy jobs and as the eldest child all of the household responsibilities fell directly onto you, whilst always being expected to maintain an A-grade average. The one major downside to your only half cinderella life was that there was no ball, no prince charming and most regrettably no happily ever after.
However, it had seemed as if your metaphorical fairy godmother had cast a spell as your parent's had invited you to a ball that was hosted by their company on two conditions.
1. You had to make your own dress(your parents didn't want to spend the money even though they had plenty)
2. Under absolutely no circumstances were you allowed to talk to anybody who looked important because they thought that you may say something that sounded immature as you were not used to interacting with classy people.
So you worked tirelessly all day making sure that not only were all your chores were done but that your dress was perfect and that your hair and makeup were done as well as you could be given your lack of experience in that particular field.
Soon as you were ready your farther shouted you telling you that it was time to go. Throughout the whole car journey, your mother gave you a strict list of do's and don'ts so that you didn't do anything to harm their reputation; however, you couldn't care less because you couldn't wait to have a night where you could at least pretend to be someone else, even if it was just one night.
An hour in and you were standing quitely at the side of the dancefloor, smiling to yourself as you watched the people dance; they all looked so beautiful and you felt a pang of hurt in the depths of your heart knowing you would never be a part of the astonishing sight, although you couldn't feel overwhelmingly sad as you were still enjoying a night filled with people over the age of 5 in high contrast to your everyday life.
All of a sudden you were pulled onto the dancefloor by a handsome stranger with perfectly dark hair and eyes so magnificant that you could die if you stared into them for too long but that didn't matter as you would gladly go six feet under to look at him for a single second longer.
Time started passing quicker than you wanted it to as you danced with your perfect stranger, the two of you glided across the floor as if the whole world only consisted of the both of you.
"I think that if love, at first sight, does exist then I've fallen completely in love you" The handsome man, whose name you found out was Antonio, stated as he pulled you closer, tightening his grip on your waist.
You simply hummed in response, partly because you were breathless and partly as you couldn't think of the right words to describe how happy you felt in this one perfect moment.
suddenly it felt as though the whole world came crashing down when you saw your parents looking at you with highly disapproving faces, maybe this wouldn't be the fairytale night you had hoped.
Despite your whole heart telling you not to, you ran out of the hall feeling as though the world was swallowing you, fresh air, that's what you needed fresh air. You could hear the quick tapping of Antonio's shoes but you just had to get out.
Once you were outside you could sense that Antonio was behind you and before you could think twice words started coming out of your mouth quicker than you could process them, so you told him everything about your life from your A-grade average to your Cinderella life.
" An.. and I just think that we won't be able to make this work because we live like completely different people" you stuttered finishing your monologue.
"There's been entirely too much thinking going on" Antonio stated pressing his lips into your forehead you smiled and hummed into his chest.
" you're like an unconventional Cinderella" He continued and you both giggled like lovesick teenagers.
And then you realised that maybe you would get your prince charming after all.
