Charles Leclerc- "you're safe now"

The final race before the summer break had finally arrived, to say you were pleased would be an understatement as you could finally spend some quality time with Charles, which hadn't really happened since his F1 career really took off at the start of the year.

Since it was the last race before summer break you decided to take a few days off work and come and support your love at the track in Hungary.

"There you are mon petit pois, let's get out of here" you heard Charles whisper as he delicately took your hand lead you out of the track and to the car so the two of you could go and explore the place.

"Okay, let's go and live great adventures" you replied and curved your lips into a smile at the sight of your intertwined hands.

As the two of you were strolling down the path with laced hands and frequently exchanging looks like only lovers do, whilst he whispered sweet nothings in your ear telling how much he loved you.

As the two of you continued down the lane, completely in your own world where only the people that existed where you and Charles, you couldn't have felt more in love. Suddenly, the whole world came crashing down when you saw your ex-boyfriend, the man you never thought you would see again, a man who tore your whole life apart.

Your ex by definition was not a nice man, he not only cheated on you but also both physically and mentally abused you to the point that you thought you could never love another man again that was until Charles came into your life and demonstrated to you what a proper loving relationship was where no always meant no.

" Well, well, well if it isn't little miss innocent, still acting like butter wouldn't melt Y/N ?" your ex-bellowed sending shivers down your spine instantly taking you to the darkest place in your mind you wished to never to go back to.

" I don't know much about you but what I do know I absolutely detest, so I suggest that you back the fuck off and leave me and my girlfriend alone" Charles retreated with anger and aggression evident in his voice, which took you by complete surprise as he was usually so calm and composed.

" So this is the infamous new boyfriend who is a complete 'gentleman', tell me something, Charles how much does it bother you when you see the scars that I left, are you repulsed when you see her naked or better still does she still wake in the middle of the night scared out of her little mind that someones touching her" he yelled with pure hatred laced in his voice.

At this point, you totally broke down and let in all the darkness from your past, wishing the ground would swallow you up.

" Unfortunately, I wasn't there in her past. However, I do know that if I had been there then I would of never let you lay one of your filthy fingers on her beautiful body and no her scars are not nasty they prove she has a past and that she has a strength that many of us could only ever dream of having, so as I have already stated get out of my sight and stay there."

Much to your relief, he turned around and quickly scattered away, leaving the two of you alone again.

Once Charles saw how distressed you were, he wiped your tears and quickly lead you back to the hotel. Once you were back in the safety of your hotel room with Charles, the two of you sat in comfortable silence whilst he stroked your hair and comfort you constantly telling you that everything is okay.

" you know today I really dipped back into that dark place, all I could think about was how empty I felt when I was with him an.. and I just made me realise how much I love you" you stutted as tears started to fall freely from your eyes.

"Don't worry baby, you're safe now " Charles whispered in your ear and kissed your lips in the most delicate way possible.
