I couldn't continue like this. Everyone was shocked when I punched Glenn. I walked out without a word. I could feel their eyes on me, watching my every move. I can't take it anymore. This group makes me feel alive. It feels like home. I would love to stay and feel free, but I can't escape the chains of my past, my fears. People I get close to die. I got close to Otis, Jimmy, and Patricia. Now they're dead. I don't know where I was going, but I didn't care. I was letting my feet guide me. My mind was filled with images of my friends and family smiling and then being torn apart. Why is all this affecting me now? I then realized what day it was. It's been a year since that day. I stopped in my tracks and fell to my knees. I clasped a hand over my mouth and tears rolled down my cheeks. No matter how hard I tried to stop the tears they kept flowing. I heard the group coming towards me. I buried my face in my hands and let my hair fall around my face. "(Y/n) are you ok?" Maggie asked. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I stopped the tears immediately. I got up slowly and turned around with a fake smile. "I'm great I just needed some fresh air. Sorry for punching you Glenn." I said sweetly. Everyone had worry in their eyes. "Don't worry I'm fine, I'm just gonna go inside y'all should go finish eating." I said. I then walked passed them and walked towards my cell.

Daryl's POV:

I was worried about (y/n) her eyes were watery and her cheeks were tear stained. I could see straight through her fake smile. She was in pain. It hurts me to see her like this. Why is she so sad? I want to be there for her and know what's wrong. I was about to say something but Merle beat me to it. "I'm gonna go check on her." He said. He started walking away as the rest of us stood there shocked.

(Y/n) POV:

I was staring at the ceiling on my bed, my mind going a million miles per hour. "What do ya want Merle?" I asked without moving. "I just wanted ta see if your alright." Merle said as he sat on the bed by my feet. "I'm fine." I said simply. "No your not." Merle said sternly. I slowly sat up and looked into his eyes, using all my strength not to glare. "If I say I'm fine then I'm fine. Thank you for your concern but ya can leave." I said in a monotone voice. Been awhile since I used that voice. Merle looked at me with a shocked expression. "Why are you shutting us out?" Merle asked concern lacing his words. "I'm not shutting anyone out. I just want to be left alone for the rest of the day. Can you tell the others to not bother me?" I asked dropping my accent. Merle nodded and left me to my thoughts.

Merle's POV:

I was slightly shocked that she didn't speak with her accent. I nodded my head and left. I was worried about her. I was debating to go back or not but I decided not to. It seemed she needed to be alone for a bit. When I got back to the group they all had worried faces. "She needs ta be alone for awhile, something's bothering her and I didn't want ta push it." I said looking away from them. "She's dangerous Rick she just punched Glenn for no reason!" Beth exclaimed. "Beth she's our friend how could you say that?" Maggie asked with anger in her voice. "It was an accident I shouldn't have shook her when she was zoned out." Glenn said calmly. "We need to figure out what's going on and help her." Daryl said firmly. "Daryl's right we aren't gonna kick her out just because of that, she's one of us and we need to help each other." Rick said. I hope she's gonna be okay.

(Y/n) POV:

I heard muffled voices as I stared at the ceiling. I slowly sat up and followed the voices to see Rick talking to the others. I decided to walk past them and head outside. "Hey where ya going?" Daryl asked. I didn't reply I just kept walking. "(Y/n) we have a question for you." Rick said. I ignored him and kept walking. This happens a lot. Eventually all the voices were drowned out by the ringing. It was all I heard. My vision was getting blurry and red. I heard something behind me and something tap on my shoulder. I spun around. I lost control of my body and I could feel myself going for a high kick. I hit something. I couldn't see anything clearly. My breathing was ragged and heavy. I closed my eyes tightly as I walked away from whatever I kicked. As I was walking the red slowly faded away. My breathing slowly went back to normal. I looked around me trying to figure out where I was. "You don't deserve family (y/n)." I heard a voice say. "Where are you?" I asked slowly turning in a circle and sniffing the air. "You killed your family and friends." The voice said. I kept looking around. "I know I did, they didn't want to turn." I replied. "What do you think is gonna happen to them if you stick around?" The voice asked. "Nothing will happen I'll protect them." I stated. "They don't care about you, they won't protect you." The voice stated. "They do care I'm part of their family they will protect me." I yelled. "They think your a monster." I didn't reply. I knew I was a monster. I know they think of me as a monster. "You should just relieve yourself of this misery, before you kill them to." The voice said. I was shaking. "Your right." I said barely above a whisper. "Just one bullet and it'll all be over, you wouldn't have to worry about killing them." The voice said. I fell to my knees and buried my face in my hands. "Get our of my head." I whispered faintly. "First you punch Glenn, then you kick another friend. Your a danger to them." The voice said. I started to cry silently. "Please leave me alone." I choked out. My words were barely audible. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I heard the ringing again. No voice. "(Y/n) are you ok?" Rick asked.
