Chapter 6 - A Day Of Reunion

As I woke up, I remembered the date last night. Memories began to flood back and my face turned more red as each memory hit me.

W-wait! How do I know it wasn't a dream..? Maybe it was..

Just as my thoughts were left to my own, my phone went off. Aaron? A text?

Hey! Had fun on our date! We should definitely do it again! 8D <3

I could feel my face heating up. A sigh of relief came over me and I flopped back on my bed. Since it was Sunday, I didn't have any school today, so I just walked around campus and found my way to the cafe.

As I walked inside, I saw Jenny and her friends. They said they wanted to be friends right? Should I go say hi?

I went to order my hot chocolate, because coffee is bleh, and as I got it, I walked over to Jenny's table. I guess I must've taken her by surprise because she jumped up and knocked her papers on the floor.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" I said, scratching the back of my head in embarrassment.

"O-oh! Aphmauuu! S-so nice to see you! How..how are you doing? What happened yesterday?-on your weekend- I mean?" Jenny said, looking suspiciously nervous.

"Oh! It was great! I went to the movies with Aaron and we had a great time!" I said, still happy from the fresh memory.

"Oh? Anything else? Like um..i don't know..a kiss or confession..maybe..?" Her tone of voice changed, and not only that, but she mumbled that.

"I-I'm sorry, I couldn't hear that last part?" I said, confused.

"I said-!" Just as her tone of voice went darker, her voice was starting to get louder. Her friend, Cathy I think, covered her mouth. I guess not to make a scene from speaking loudly.

"Well, I mean..h-he did ask me t-to be his..g-girlfriend..heheh.." I mumbled, looking down with a crimson red blush on my face.

I heard some kind of growl and I jolted my head up in confusion. Did something just growl?

"Well, it was nice talking to y'all! I still have some stuff I need to unpack in my dorm so I'll see you all later!" I said as I smiled nicely.

"Goodbye aphmau!" Betty said.

I don't think Cathy or Jenny were paying attention, yet they were looking. They must've been lost in thought. Whatever it was, they looked mad.

With that, I walked out of the door and almost bumped into someone from being lost in thought.

"Oh my Irene, I'm sorry!" I said, embarrassed.

"It's quite alright, Miss-..a-aphmau?!"

I jolted up to see a very familiar person.

"G-Garroth?!" I said, my expression turning to shock. I quickly hugged him and he hugged back.

"It's so great to see you! How have you been?!" I said, eager from seeing my friend from high school.

"Great! How are you? I see you haven't changed a bit." He said as he smiled and put his hand over my head, comparing my shortness to high school. I looked at him and pouted.

"I am taller than I was! Sorta.." I laughed, and soon he laughed with me.

"Pfft. Maybe one day." I pouted playfully at those words.

"Hmph! Well, ur still shorter than Aaron!" I giggled. He looked at me in defeat.

"Yea..but he's super tall! That's not fair!" He whined.

"How do you think I feel when all of you skyscrapers tower over me!" I whined back.

"True.." he laughed.

"Well, I better be on my way! I need to unpack some stuff in my dorm. I'll see ya around Garroth!" I said as I started walking back to my dorm.

"Alright! Bye, Aphmau!" He said as he went into the cafe.

I head back to the dorm and noticed Tera watching Netflix again. Pfft, she is so relatable sometimes.. I laughed to myself.

I head over to my boxes and emptied them out. As I did that, I began putting them away.

I'm ready for four years of college!

THAT WAS A PEACEFUL EPISODE! JUST TO LEAD UP TO WHATS HAPPENING NEXT...
