chapter 10

Bella's POV (1 hour before arrivel)

As Felix and I walked outside, Slightly was already standing in front of us holding a small plate of food. I looked down at the plate and then back up at Slightly who had a huge smile plastered across his face. Slightly was 16 -around a year younger than myself and Felix- and he was one of the new "recruits"  as some as the lost boys say.

"Hey Slightly, thanks for the food," I said while taking the plate and heading towards the logs. Felix gave a slight nod and caught up to me. As we sat on the log, I couldn't help but hum the song lyrics of 'Waves by Dean Lewis'

It comes and goes in waves

We watch as our young hearts fade

A feeling I thought was set in stone

I honestly love that song, It's slow enough to be a sad song, and it also had some powerful vocals. 

Once Felix and I have finished our food, we head over to the group of boys, who were huddled in front of Pan. 

"Okay boys... and girl," he says while giving me a slight smirk. "we are going to start our first day of training, I'll pair you girl, and boys up into groups." After Pan finished pairing everybody up, I realized that Felix and myself didn't have a group. As I approached Pan, he was talking to Nibs and Toodles, "Ah, Bella, I would like you to meet Nibs and Toodles" Pan said while gesturing to the two boys standing in front of him.

"Hi, I'm-" 

"Bella Quinn, we know." Nibs said while smiling, nudging Toodles in the shoulder, probably wanting him to say something. 

"It's very nice to meet you," Toodles said while staring at the ground. I smiled at how cute it was, they were so young. Wait, did they feel unloved and lost? I was brought out of my thoughts by Pan, saying my name over and over again.

"Hm, sorry what?" I asked as I focused my attention on Pan.

"I said, you will be training with Felix today, I have some new guests to take care of." Then he walked away into the forest. I turned around and headed towards Felix who was talking to James and the Twins.

"Hey, Felix, Pan said we can train together today, do you want to get started?"

"Okay, give me one second to grab the equipment we need." I nodded and watched as he walked away.

"Oh, so Pan is letting someone else be with his princess while he's not there, I wonder what Felix will do?" One of the twins said I was pretty sure his name was Owen.

"He has eyes everywhere remember, if Felix wanted to try anything, he would be dead by sunset." the other twin said while laughing, I'm also pretty sure his name was Chase.

I turned to face the two boys who were talking amongst themselves but weren't doing a great job. "What do you mean?" 

"Oh, you don't know?" Owen asked and I shook my head.

"Maybe we should let Pan tell her, Or maybe one of the new guests who should be arriving shortly," Chase said while smirking at me.

I was about to ask what the meant, and who was arriving, but Felix came back with the equipment. I must have looked extremely worried because Felix kept asking what was wrong the entire way to the training field.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. Let's start training shall we." I said while grabbing a sword by its hilt. 

"No, today we are going to start with hand to hand combat," Felix said while putting up his hands to his face. Stupid mistake on his behalf. While I was in the glade, I would always sneak away into the forest to practice hand to hand combat, just in case if I ever got attacked. 

As soon as Felix said go, I dropped my elbows and punched him in the stomach. I winced in pain as my fist hit his abs, but luckily Felix doubled over, so I knew the pain was worth it. As he slowly got up, he tried to punch me in my stomach, but I blocked it and kicked him in the leg, causing him to fall back to the ground. As he landed on the ground I turned and started to walk away, but Felix swivel kicked me, and I fell on top of him.

"I-I am so sorry..." I stuttered. I have never felt this feeling before, it tingled and it felt weird, but I liked it. I was almost on top of Felix, but my arms were positioned on either side of his head. I realized that I was staring into his bright blue eyes, and him staring into my dull brown ones, I honestly never wanted to leave his gaze.  

All of a sudden, Felix lean up towards me and pressed his lips to mine. At first, I couldn't stop thinking about what the twin said that Pan would do, but at that moment it didn't matter. I liked Felix, and what I did next made everything so much better. I kissed him back. My arms started to feel weak and they slowly started to buckle, making me land on top of Felix. He didn't mind and started to deepen this kiss, running his fingers through my brown hair. I felt there was something missing, then I remembered Oxygen, I need to breathe. 

I pulled away from Felix and pressed my forehead against his, and a smile slowly appeared on my lips. 

"Bella, I really like you, If you don't like me back then I understand-" He got cut off by my lips pressing against his again. I could feel him smiling as I pulled away. I stared into his blue eyes.

"Felix, I like yo-"

"Bella?" 

I turned around to see Thomas and Minho standing next to a tree.

"Thomas! Minho! what are you guys doing here?" I asked while facing them.

"We got kidnapped or something" Thomas replied while he stared at me and Felix. As I slowly got up, I could see someone through the trees. As the bushes shook, the person appeared.

"Bella?" Newt asked shocked

"Newt," I said while glaring daggers at him. If looks could kill, he would have dropped dean then and there.

Felix must have noticed how angry I was, because he took my hand and gave it a small squeeze, reminding me to breathe.

Newt looked at me, then Felix, then our hands before he turned around and walked back into the forest.

Is this what the twins were talking about when they mentioned someone bringing a special guest? Is every glader here? Why did Pan bring them here? 

These thoughts filled my head, then I realized that thinking that I would be safe there was a joke. I need to get off of this island, and I'm never going to return.

*GASP* OMG that chapter was like... no word can describe the feelz I have!!! please comment, vote and add to reading list. sorry for the slow start,  hopefully, the book will get more interesting soon.
