chapter 8

Pan's POV (last night at the fire)

I pulled out my pipe and sat down on a log, after everyone finished dinner. I began to play my pipe, and the boys began to dance around the fire. I saw Bella on the log, sitting alone. i wanted to get up, but I was shocked when I heard a beautiful voice. At first, I though it was a mermaid, trying to lure us to sea; those stupid creatures, but then I saw Bella's mouth moving, and figured out that it was her singing. She continued singing, and I continued playing. I guessed that she wasn't paying attention, because all the lost boys started to crowd her. I wanted to say something, but she stopped singing. It was silent for a minute, but then Felix started to applause, soon all the lost boys joined in. Bella looked embarrassed, I guess she doesn't like people hearing her sing. James started to talk to her about singing, and she explained how in the maze, she sung during their bonfires. Suddenly Felix put his finger under Bella's and raised her chin, so she was looking into his eyes.

"Don't be embarrassed, your a beautiful singer, and a beautiful girl" Felix said this, and I don't understand, but I stared to get angry; at Felix, for flirting with her. I looked at Bella, to see her blushing! Did she really like this guy, anyways if she did, I would never allow them to date, I don't know why, but I wouldn't. They kept staring at each other, and I couldn't watch it anymore.

"Okay, Lost boys!" I yelled to get their attentions, and well I did *smirks* "Its time to go to bed! Everyone get back to their tents!" The boys all walked away, and I saw Bella walking towards me.

"I don't have a place to sleep" she exclaimed

"You can sleep with me if you want" I turned around to see Felix joining our conversation.

I couldn't let this happen, I didn't know why, but I didn't want Bella sleeping with Felix; it just bothered me.

"If it alright, could I stay with Felix, I know him the best so far-" Bella started to say but I cut her off mid sentence.

"Don't worry, Bella will stay with me until we find her a tent of her own." I announced, then I grabbed her hand and took her to my tent. I heard her mumble something like 'goodnight', it must have been to Felix.

We arrived at my treehouse and we went inside. I found a long shirt for Bella to wear, I grabbed it and whipped it at her.
"Here put this on, its long enough that you can sleep in it."

"OW! You could have just tossed it to me?"She snapped.

Even when she's angry, she still looks beautiful- wait WhT! No, what am I saying, I can not have a crush on her! I need to say something snarky back! Uh...
"No not really" I replied than smirked. Okay I think I played that one off.

I went into the bathroom, and changed into my pajamas shorts. I walked out and saw Bella sitting on my bed. I saw her staring at me, and I knew I could make her embarrassed.
"Do you like what you see?" I asked smirking, and she jut laughed.

"I've seen better" she replied.

I was shocked! "By who!" Oh no! That came out more angry then I expected. I sounded jealous, which I wasn't.

"Wouldn't you want to know!" She smirked, and walked away. That girl has some nerve! I realized that she didn't have a place to sleep, and I waited for her to realize that.

"Where am I sleeping?" She asked

I snapped my fingers and a bed appeared in the other side of the corner. She crawled into the bed, and muttered something.

"Goodnight Pan"

"Goodnight Bella" I replied

I kept rolling around in my sleep. Why couldn't I get Bella out of my head. I tried to fall asleep, but every dream I had, was of her. There was one dream that stood out to me.

I was in a maze, there were boys all round a huge fire. I saw a girl sitting on a log, she looked sad, and lonely. She had bruises all over her arms and legs. Then one of the boys called over, she stood up and walked towards them with her head low.

One of the boys lifted her chin up with his finger and leaned in to kiss her. When I realized that they liked each other, I saw who it was. It was Bella.

If I want to stop thinking about her, then I need to bring back the boy who likes her. I need to bring all of the boys from the maze.

I woke up, and rushed outside, only to realize that I was still in the shorts. I quickly changed into my usual outfit, and went to find my shadow.

"Shadow! I need you now! We have some lost boys waiting for us!"
