Doll looked so beautiful in her lily green and white off the shoulder dress with the little green ribbon. As she fiddled with her hair, I took her purse from where it was on the table. She turned to look at me and smiled. She struck a pose and asked me,” How do I look?” I said, “Gorgeous, darling.” As she flounced out the doorway, I told her, you forgot your purse,” and offered it to her. “Why, thank you,” she gushed and took it from me. I watched her leave, her silken skirt swishing like a green flamboyant mermaid. She didn’t notice what I had done…
