Finding a New Bassist

Noodle's POV

We drove around a bit, until we came to the beach, which was pretty busy for it being so chilly out.

"We will look around here first" Russel anounced.

We parked in an available parking spot and got out of the the car. 2D grabbed a cigarette from his pocket and lit it up.

"Let's split up and look around. We'll meet back here in a hour" Russel anounced while pulling on his hood to cover his face from crazy fans.

I pulled on my hood and started to walk away from the two. I was worried about 2D being attacked by fans. But then again, he had his ways.

I continued to walk down the beach. Watching as each step I took left it's mark in the sand bellow my feet. I reached into my pocket and grabbed my pack of cigarettes. I pulled one out and set the pack into my jacket pocket. I took out my lighter and lit my cigarette and set it in my pocket with my my smokes.

I had been walking for a good ten minutes when out of nowhere, someone asked, "you're Noodle from Gorillaz, right?"

"Yes I am" I responded, while pulling my hood down.

The stranger was green skinned, slick black hair, long pointy nose, and black triangular sunglasses. He looked familiar. Way to familiar.

"Wait a minute," I announced, "you're Ace from Power Puff Girls, right?"

"Correct, funny seeing you here" Ace responded.

"Oh my God, I was such a big fan of you're show when I was younger and yes funny seeing you here as well".

"What brings you here?"

"I guess you haven't heard the news than, huh?"

"What news are you talking about".

"Murdoc-san got arrested".

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that".

"So Russel-san, Toochie and I are searching for a new bassist".

"That sucks".

"Yes it does".

"You know, I used to take bass lessons as a kid".

"How good were you?"

"Just about as good as Murdoc".

"This is gonna sound crazy but, would you like to replace Murdoc until he gets out of jail?"

"I'd be honored to".

"Thank you so much, Ace-san".

"You're welcome, now where do we meet with the rest of them".

"Back to the parking lot".

I pulled out my phone and pulled up Russels contact.

Hey Russel-san I found somebody. Head back to the car.

Ok baby girl, I'll be right there.

I switched over to 2D's contact.

Toochie, I found someone, head back to the car.

Good job, love. Be right there.

I put my phone back in my pocket and started walking with Ace back to the car.

"So where are you from originally?" Ace asked.
