We slept for a few hours till we were woken up by Natasha. I hadn't slept that good since, since forever. "WAKE UP SUPER SLEEPYHEADS! PARTY IN TWO HOURS!" Wanda jostled and headed to her room to change. I peered inside the closet. What should I wear?
Fashion was never a problem for me. Or a concern. HYDRA gave us everything. Stealth outfits. But this is a party! C'mon Peter! Um, I guess a pair of black jeans and a shirt. I picked a plain blue shirt. I put on some sneakers and knocked on Wanda's door. She opened the door. She was wearing a scarlet dress that went up to the knees and black flats. "Nice, Scarlet Witch." Suddenly, Tony appeared. "Perfect name. Now c'mon.
The party is in swing and it's early. Natasha is serving drinks at the bar and a few others are taking on the couch. Thor is welcoming two ladies. Steve waves me over so I join him as Wanda sits with Natasha. "Hey Peter, how are you doing?" I mumbled. "I guess I'm fine. I just miss him. He was always there for me and Wanda. He sacrificed himself for me. And it's partial blame on me for joining Ultron in the first place."
Steve looked at me with kind eyes and patted my back. "Its going to be okay. Do you want to play pool?" I looked at him with confusion. "You mean swimming?" He chuckled. "No silly. It's a game with sticks and and eight balls. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) You have to aim the sticks to get the balls inside the holes. It's easier if I show you. Come." I laughed. "Never heard of it. We have a sport similar to that back home at Sokovia called piscină. It's Romanian." Steve smiled. "It sounds beautiful." "Thanks." His demonstration was just like piscină. "That's exactly how you play piscină. I know how to play. I haven't played this in a while. I always beat Pietro! He would say that he was being easy on me but we both knew he didn't want to admit defeat. Let's see what you got old man." He handed me a stick. "Don't break your old man's heart." I smiled. Then Mr. Stark strolled over. "C'mon Spidey kid, beat Steve's a**." "Language!" I set the stick down and positioned my fingers at the end. I gave a light tap knowing my Spidey senses would take care of us. With a firm push, all the balls went inside holes. "Victory for me. Try and keep up old man!"
Steve went and there were five balls left. I tried not to smirk. But Mr. Stark didn't hesitate. "FRIDAY save please under file name blackmailing America." FRIDAY replied in a fancy British accent, "Of course Master Stark."The party was great. I learned that I was better at playing pool than Mr. Stark. After everyone left, Mr. Stark said that he wanted to talk to us about future events.
"As you know, we allowed Wanda and Peter to live with us in the Avengers tower. Being that this is our family. (Clint is a single pringle in this series) The two of you have to act normal here. Especially Peter. It is under the law that all children regardless of anything younger than eighteen must attend school. So, Peter, starting September 5th, you will be attending Midtown Tech. Wanda, same goes for you. No powers outside. Ross has a thing for Enhanced beings. Its for safety measures. Ours and the worlds. Also, this goes for everyone. After the Sokovia thing, its better if we all stick together. So, don't go with anyone unless you know for sure its one of the people in this room. That way, nothing bad happens. That's pretty much it."
"Oh and one more thing. You two have full citizenship granted by SHIELD. Its a thank you from them. And, in the event of another world ending event, everyone will be training from five to eight. With a half hour break for dinner at seven. Unless there is a party. Now, get some sleep, you all look drunk."
"Typical Stark."
"Thanks."
I went back to bed and changed my clothes. I laid down thinking about what Mr. Stark had said. I always wanted a normal life. I was granted one. At Midtown Tech. I knew stuff. HYDRA educated us. Actual school stuff. But school in New York City? There would be so many people. What if they didn't like me? They can't know about Spiderman! Or my powers more to say. Or that I live with the Avengers. I had to be a typical fifteen year old boy. The thing is, I don't know how too.
That was the last thought before I drifted off to sleep only to awake in a few hours.
"I forgot about my fast metabolism."
