"no, dont even try"

a few days later

your thoughts: i've been so happy these past few days. i moved in with my best friends. the boy i love told me he feels the same way about me. i'm just happy, finally.

*ding*

i was sitting on the floor in the living room when my phone went off. jack picked up my phone because it was on the couch next to him and read the text.

ryan: hey princess, just wanted to check up on you and see how you're doing. i miss my girlfriend.

you looked up at jack. he looked mad. what could he be mad about. it's a text.

"are you serious right now?!?!" jack asked angrily. "what do you mean?" you asked, confused. he ready the text aloud. "ryan says 'hey princess, just wanted to check up on you and see how you're doing.i miss my girlfriend ' now i would understand if he was just a friend checking up on you but 'princess' and 'girlfriend' what the hell, y/n" he said, raising his voice. "jack, ryan is.." you tried to finish your sentence but jack wouldn't let you. "no, don't even try." jack said and stormed upstairs.

you were left in the living room. crying. jack upstairs. the rest of the boys not home.

until zach walked in the door "finally i can eat my chipotle. jack, y/n wanna share it with.." he looked at the couch and stopped talking. you weren't on the couch. neither was jack.

zach went upstairs and knocked on jack's door "go away y/n. i don't want to hear it." zach was shocked. "it's not y/n, its zach" he said loud enough so jack could hear him through the door. jack sighed "i just wanna be alone right now" zach walked around the house trying to find y/n. he couldn't.

zach: jo i can't find y/n. jack is in his room and won't let anyone in. when i knocked on the door he said something like "go away y/n i don't wanna hear it" something happened between them. idk what.
jonah: keep looking for y/n. i'll be home soon.

zach finally decided to check outside. he stood by the door that led to the backyard. he saw her.

zach: i found her.

he put his phone away. he walked over to you and sat down right beside you. you were crying. a lot.

"what happened" zach calmly asked. "he doesn't believe me zach" you started to cry even more. you put your head in your hands. "what doesn't he believe?" zach asked. "my ex texted me. he was acting like we were still dating. we're not obviously. i never want to talk to my ex again, zach. i tried explaining it was my ex but he wouldn't even let me finish my sentence." you explained. zach put his arm around you. "give him time to calm down. and once he is, then explain" zach said.

jack walked outside. i guess he had the same idea as you. fresh air. he saw zach's arm around you. "why am i not surprised" he started crying again and walked inside.
