Taehyung and Jungkook end up spending the day playing on Tae's PlayStation, both boys turning out to be avid gamers. The day is full of laughter, play fighting and a whole lot of easiness. Jungkook's never felt so comfortable this quickly with anyone before. They learn a lot about each other: their likes and dislikes, their families, little habits they pick up about each other; Jungkook never wants to leave. The universe obviously has other plans and both the men eventually have to head back towards their dorms on campus and resume their 'normal' lives.
Taehyung visits the cafe Kook works at whenever he gets the chance; Kook always letting him know when his breaks are and Tae rushes over to accompany him. They figure out ways to spend time with each other around their uni timetables. Funnily enough they're sort of a whole package deal now, 7 of them: Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin and of course Jungkook and Tae; all coincidentally meeting through one another and becoming closer than ever. The gang spends a lot of their free time together that summer; Yoongi, Jimin and Hobi finally admitting they're all in a relationship together; Namjoon and Seokjin being forever in love and Tae and Kook's new "thing"... they haven't really put a label on it... yet.

Jungkook rushes to the mirror to check himself over for the four thousandth time that evening, nerves threatening to spill out of his mouth and oh my god he's not ready. It's their first official date and as excited as Jungkook is... he's shitting bricks. It's been months but he can't believe that he actually is going on a date with the guy of his literal dreams - no exaggeration. They haven't had time to officially date since Tae was in his final year of college and inevitably coursework kept getting in the way so they decided to officially try out whatever this is after they both finished the academic year.
To Yoongle:

From Yoongle:

Taehyung knocks a couple more times after putting his phone into his back pocket, wondering what's taking the other so long. "ComING" comes a muffled voice from the other side of the door alongside hurried footsteps. Tae laughs quietly to himself as he imagines the other boy all panicked over him.
