After I dropped Zoella off I went back home and took a shower. I had to plan out this afternoon perfectly if I actually wanted to impress her.
Don't ask me why I wanted to impress her because I actually had no reason to do it, if I let her down and she went to her father about (which I very much doubted) he would be disappointed but not in a way that he would be willing to kick me off. I was in no relationship with Ella, for her to even be disappointed but I knew how much she wanted to do the city and I was going to help her out.
There wasn't a place in Miami I wasn't allowed inside, except maybe a few bars I had been kicked out of when I was younger but they were smaller unimportant ones.
I decided to pick 5 of my favorite and craziest places and take her there leaving the best for last.
I got dressed in a dark blue plaid button down shirt and black jeans. It was 7 so I still had some time to myself, I got myself cup of orange juice and turned on the TV.
After a while of pointless weather forecast forecasting a warm night I decided to get up leave. I wanted very much to take my bike, but I had not warned Zoella about it and if she were to wear a dress it would be a disaster, so I opted for my Audi instead.
I took a detour not wanting to seem to overenthusiastic, that was never good, and it would only make Zoella run a mile away. I was pretty sure she didn't even want to go out tonight but she was put in a tight spot and accepted anyways.
Now it was up to me whether or not Zoella actually took a liking to me or not.
When I had finally reached her house I rang the door bell a couple of times, around three minutes later she opened the door, her wavy long brown hair in the mess I known it to be.
"Why are you always on time?" She asked instead of the cordial hello.
"Um.. I'm sorry?" Was my only response, she always took me by surprise.
"No, I'm sorry" she chuckled embarrassed and let me in, "Just give me five minutes so I can put my shoes on and we'll leave" and she ran to her room leaving the front door open and me in her hallway.
I had been in then house with John and Leila numerous times so I easily closed the door and made my way to the kitchen for a glass of water, I wasn't actually thirsty put I just didn't want to awkwardly stand by the door.
Zoella now with a pair of black strapped on heels came to find me.
Good thing I had brought to Audi because she looked elegant yet casual in a black smooth dress that reached a bit more than mid- thigh.
"If there's something you should know about me it's that I'm always approximately 10 minutes late, everywhere. I'm sorry!" She said.
I put the glass down and smiled "No worries."
"Since we're touring Miami, I decided to give you the ultimate tour experience , so were going by bus" I announced biting my tongue at the small white lie.
"What?" she asked looking alarmed "I'm wearing a dress, if I climb on that bus I'm pretty sure its like a cry for trouble"
"Don't worry, I'll fight off all the bad guys"
Zoella scoffed at my response, "Then looks like were not going out" but before she continued I said "It was a joke, my car is up front"
She then flicked me off and walked to the door, Zoella locked it and we headed for the Audi.
I opened the passenger door for her and muttered a thanks as I closed it.
"Put on your seat belt, please" I told her and I snapped mine and she did just that. Seat belts were always a must when I was in a car.
"Where are we headed?" She asked after a while breaking the silence and seeming to be over the small joke.
"There's is great pizza joint I used to go to when I was younger, I thought we could go there, unless you don't want pizza" I told her now not so sure of myself.
I realized I actually knew nothing about the girl sitting next to me, her likes and dislikes.
"Pizza's great" she said, and for some reason I felt foolish.
"Are you sure? Sorry for not planning something more elaborate, we can go to a fancy restaurant if you want"
"Don't be stupid, I said pizza was fine!" She said laughing, it was pretty obvious I was a bit nervous.
"How did your interview the other go?" I asked her.
"I think it went great. I thought the modeling I did was going to affect whether or not they took me seriously but.." She kept on talking and I was fascinated with her.
The whole drive we talked about everything, ad I was captivated with her, fascinated.
"I grew up here" I told her as we passed old colorful buildings, "the infamous calle 8."
I then parked the car and we got out and walked. I pointed out buildings reliving memories of my childhood with her.
Once we reached the Pizza place, we sat down, "This is an Uruguayan restaurant which serves the best pizza I've ever tasted"
We ordered a pizza with different topping when Ella said "Hey look it's Leila and john!" And pointed to a flat screen behind me.
I quickly turned around and there I saw John's face on the TV screen! There was a video of him shouting at the paps and Leila running to the car crying.
Something was seriously wrong. John never lost his cool, and Leila was always smiling.
"I'm going to call Leila and see what's up" Zoella said suddenly nervous and that made me uneasy, and I couldn't just sit there and do nothing so I called John who answered a the first ring.
"Man I'm surrounded by paps, journalist and fans, Leila's dad is in the hospital and we need to get there now." He sad quickly and as always ignoring the hello.
"Okay, no worries, I'll be there just text me your location" I told him and hung up.
"What did he say?" Ella asked me, "Leila's phone is turned off"
"John needs me to go help him out he's surrounded and Leila's father is in the hospital, but I think something else is also going on" I told her, "I'll just drive you home and see what's up"
"Are you insane?" She asked and I looked at her confused,"Leila's my best friend, there's no way I'm not going"
"Alright, fine let's go" I told her agreeing easily, there was no time to argue, and of course I wouldn't mind her company.
I left some money on the table for the waiter even though we didn't eat anything and when we realized that we had walked here and left the car blocks away I hailed a cab to take us to the car.
I checked my phone to see John's text and the address was somewhere in Miami beach, an hour at most.
Once we were inside my car I drove like a mad man and I prayed I would't pulled over.
