First fan fiction. No hate.

"I'll be fine, Mom. It's not like I'm still a kid! Lots of 18 year old girls live alone." I yelled into the phone. "God why does she have to be so protective?"

"I don't know, baby. She just cares about you." Maddy replied sympathetically.

"Besides I'm not living alone, I'm living with you."

"She probably thinks that's even worse. I have to go, I have a meeting. I'll be back around eight, ok?" He said.

"Alrighty. Have fun. Be safe. Love you." I said as he grabbed his phone and headed for the door.

"Love you too, Ty!"

Now that I was alone I cranked up the radio and jammed out to Suicide Silence while I unpacked and started making our new apartment more homey.

I pushed the couch into place across the room for where we planned to put the TV. It was one of those old floral printed, over stuffed sofas that my Grandma had given me from her basement. Maddy hated it but I thought it was cool and vintage.

We weren't allowed to paint so we just covered the walls with band posters and cool graphics that I had made. Almost nothing matched but we couldn't have cared less.

I unpacked our dishes which was about seven plates, five bowls, 10 of each knives, spoons and forks, and a few measuring cups. We had gone shopping at various yard sales considering our tight budget, and because of the absolutely nothing matched.

I looked at the clock and sighed. 7:34 p.m. I went to our bedroom and started folding clothes and putting them in our dresser. Also from my Grandma's basement.

Our mattress and box spring simply sat on the floor. That was gonna make it hard to have sex without disturbing those downstairs.

I was getting really bored with the whole unpacking thing so I went to the kitchen and grabbed a Natty Bo and sat on the floral couch.

I picked up my laptop and started looking at surfboards, now that I lived in California I thought I should probably learn how.

At that moment Maddy burst in the door, "Guess what, Babe!" He yelled.

"Jesus, Dude! You scared the shit out of me!" I yelled back.

"But I brought pizza..!"

"Omg you're the best!" I said excitedly as I sat up and put my laptop down so it didn't get greasy.

Maddy sat down with the big square box and opened it revealing a ham and pineapple pizza ( both of our favorites ).

He grabbed a piece as I went and grabbed him a beer from the fridge. I handed it to him and grabbed a piece of pizza while I sat down and asked him about his meeting.

"How was it?"

"Oh it was just splendid. Johanna decided to fuck yet another dude and so she out on maternity leave so there's only the three of is it the shop." He answered

"Shit, isn't that like her fifth kid?" I questioned.

"Yeah something like that." Maddy responded.

"Jeez."

Once we finished our pizza we put the leftovers in the kitchen and headed off to bed. Tomorrow I had work too.

Maddy complaining about the shop made me wonder what it was like to work for someone else. It seemed hard to not be in charge with a small business.

The parlor and the gallery were both run by me so if something fucked up I couldn't blame anyone else; technically.

But Maddy worked for his friends photography studio and though Maddy was trying to start his own business, it hadn't started up yet.

I kiss him before I rolled over and fell into a deep sleep. Before I knew it Maddy was softly shaking me awake.

"Baby, you have to work today. Get up. I'll make coffee." He whispered.

"Ok. thanks, Love." I moaned back.

I got up and found my way to the bathroom. Quickly grabbing a shower because of my enormous pile of so called "hair". I had the worst luck when it came to bed head.

I got out and wrapped my towel around myself as I went to find clothes. About ten minutes later I wandered into the kitchen wearing forrest green skinny jeans, black converse, and a black and white For All Those Sleeping tank top.

My hair, still unbrushed and cold, dripped down my back. I gave Maddy a hug and grabbed my coffee cup.

Maddy kissed me.

"I'm gonna get going." he mumbled. "See you tonight."

"Bye, babe." I said back as he left.

I was only home for about a minute before I grabbed my bag and walked out the door. just then I noticed a new face in my tiny apartment building.

"Morning." He greeted me.

"Hey." I said back.

And that was that.
