"Charlie isn't joining the band." The words hit me like a bucket of water and ice pouring down on me.
"Uh..?"
"We told her we're already official so we can't add another member and she's leaving. I guess she only wanted to stay so she could be in the band."
"Oh..."
"Okay so, now I'm gonna go back home. They don't know I headed out."
He wasn't waiting for my 'Bye' or 'Ok'.
The thought of stopping him in his tracks and make him stay messed with my mind and I couldn't ignore it so I unconsciously grabbed his skinny wrist.
He turned to see what was stopping him and then looked at me waiting for me to say something.
"Uh... nothing, I forgot what I wanted to say." I stuttered shaking my head.
"When will you come back home?" He asked.
"Tomorrow probably?"
"Then I'll come visit tonight." He said laughing as he invited himself.
"Sure."

He left and It was me again.
I took the book I had taken with me and started reading some parts of it including quotes.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.

• Finn's POV

I went home and realized I had arrived with Malcolm at the same time when we got inside we saw Ayla pacing around the house.
"Guys do you know where April is? I can't reach her!" She said finally stopping.
"Uh... yeah, I mean no!" I stuttered.
"She is visiting a friend I saw her at the supermarket, she said she wouldn't be able to answer her phone, she said she'll come back home... uh... uh_" Malcolm said.
"Tomorrow!" I said.
"How do you know?" Ayla asked.
"I saw her on the street heading to her friend's house." I lied.
"Uh-huh..." she seemed upset.
"Guys I... umm... I'm leaving." Charlie said coming down with her suitcase.
I just rolled my eyes. I really didn't expect Charlie to use us.
"Yeah..?" I said.
"Bye." Everybody said a simple bye and she left.
I went to my room which made me look at April's drawn curtain. I sighed and sat on the bed leaning against the wall. I closed my eyes and visualized my mom's face. I miss the life I used to have, I miss myself, the one I used to be.

I put on my headphones and clicked on the repetitive song.

Did she run away? Did she run away?
I don't know...
If she ran away, if she ran away,
come back home...
Just come home...

• April's POV

This garden was really beautiful but it definitely needed help, we have something in common heh.

I filled the spray with water from the fountain in the middle of the garden behind the piano.
I started spraying the water on the flowers.

The petals and leaves, even the thorns.

I was dancing in the rain I felt alive and I can't complain but now take me home,
take me home where I belong,
I can't take it anymore...

The sun was setting and I just sat on the grass enjoying the moment.

• Finn's POV

I left the house and was now standing in front of the garden.
April was sitting on the grass her back at me her eyes pointing at the sky.
"How about you call this place
'Garden of Eden'?" I said and she turned towards me standing up and coming to open up the gate.
"Sounds great. Only we know about this place, so... it's your garden as well now," She said as she gave her key to me.
The key was connected to a thin chain that rested on her chest.
"I'll take it whenever I needed it." I nodded and put on the chain.

We sat where she had been sitting.
After moments of silence she spoke.
"I feel like I don't belong anywhere but here." She said exhaling at the end as if she had been holding her breath for so long.
"Good, I feel like I don't belong anywhere..." I gave out a sad outburst of laugh.
She looked at me and caused me to look back.
"That's why I gave you the key," She said as she placed the key hanging from my neck on the center of my palm and closed my fingers to make a fist.
"I put this in my hand and squeezed it till my fingers got pink, everyday after my grandma gave it to me. This is all I have, and I want to share it with you..." she said as she looked at my fist. Then teardrops fell on my fist and she immediately turned her head and started wiping her cheeks, the ones that were stained with tears from before.
"Why are you willing to share all you have with me?"
"I don't know." She said shrugging.
