Twilight Sparkle's POV

"... She's gone left in the corridor! I repeat, Miss Sparkle has gone left in the corridor!" A masked woman shouted into a walkie talkie. There was static, and again, the sound of heavy footsteps approaching me thudded loudly against the white linoleum floor of the Los Pegasus hospital.

I swerved right and shoved open a pair of two orange doors that led to another endless hallway. Halfway through, the same doors I burst through shoved open loudly. A swarm of bullets flew in my direction, narrowly missing me. Wisps of cold air flashed by me as the hail of bullets passed. I sighed in relief and continued onward. The sound of footsteps tripled in volume. Anxiety coursed through my veins as soon as I found myself standing at a dead end. No doors were in sight where I stood apart from the large window in front of me that gave me a horrifying view of the city... I was past the twelfth floor.

Too high. Too high. Too high. Too high.

"Give it up, Sparkle. You're outnumbered," the same voice from earlier spoke from several feet behind me. I spun around in my spot and stiffened. At least eight other individuals dressed in all black attire stood defiantly holding up their assault rifles toward me. They all wore black helmets that covered their faces entirely. Their bullet proof vests and long sleeved sweaters all shared the same emblem: two golden feathers belonging to...

"Griffonstone's national symbol..." I breathed out silently. The group in front of me chuckled, not appearing to have heard my revelation. I stared up at them and dropped my arms to my sides, my fingers fidgeting with the front pockets of my black cargo pants.

"Surrender, and we'll make this easy for you."

"It doesn't have to end badly for you," another voice said mockingly.

"It won't have to end up like Celestia and Luna," a male voice said with a chuckle. I glared at the group, my hands balling into fists. What use did it have to bring up –

"Oh, don't even get me started on what we did to little Miss Shimmer," the same voice said. The others laughed uproariously, angering me. There was no use in showing emotion since that's exactly what they were aiming to do. I couldn't let them get into my head, but the anger inside soon began to bubble up to the surface. My fingertips twitched and the palms of my hands began to sweat and cramp up in burning heat. Beads of sweat began to form on my forehead. I bit back my tongue to keep myself from saying something idiotic. The guards unfortunately noticed.

"Awww... Look at 'er! Sparkle's gonna cry!" The first woman began taking steady steps toward me. She lifted up the heavily tinted window from her helmet to reveal a bright but sinister smile. The rest of her face was covered.

Stay calm, Twilight. Stay. Calm yourself down. ~~~~

She advanced, now only standing a few inches away from me. My body began trembling uncontrollably like a bad case of chills. I shut my eyes tightly to concentrate on my breathing. I felt her presence closer than ever.

"I wish you could have seen Sunset's face when we skinned her hands and arms –"

My body began reacting on its own. The next thing I knew, my vision went entirely black.

Third Person POV

Twilight Sparkle had extended an arm with incredible speed and grabbed the Griffonstone recruit by the throat harshly, crushing her windpipe instantly. She tossed the attacker against the wall – the impact causing the attacker's limp figure to crash through several walls of concrete effortlessly. Twilight's eyes began to glow white as she began hovering further from the floor beneath her.

"Fucking shoot her!" The male recruiter yelled out, fear clear in his voice. The others stood still and frozen in a mixture of fear and shock. It took a moment to fully process what had just happened before they all lined up their weaponry and began shooting Twilight's vulnerable figure.

However, the bullets never came. Instead they appeared to halt when they were mere centimeters away from Twilight's body. The bullets reversed and soon began pelting and piercing the recruiters' bodies instantly. Blood sprayed and spattered against the white walls of the hospital corridors as the remainder of the recruits dropped dead in their own pool of blood.

Twilight extended an arm and lifted one of the men from the pile of dead bodies and brought him towards her. She slowly pulled her arm toward her body until his body was now hovering lifelessly in front of her. Twilight cocked her head back slightly and let her mouth fall open. She breathed in deeply, a light purple aura began floating inside her open mouth.

The man's helmet fell onto the linoleum floor with a metallic sound. His youthful face soon began to fade until it was nothing but a pure skeleton. Twilight tossed the skeletal remains with a flick of her wrist against the far end of the hallway.

She floated down until her black combat boots touched the linoleum floor. She stood there, her eyes still glowing eerily. Seconds later, her expression softened and her eyes reverted back to normal and she soon collapsed on the floor.

Twilight Sparkle's POV

My eyes fluttered open. I pushed myself up from the cold floor using my hands and stood up, a bit shakily. The only light seemed to come from the moon just outside of the window behind me. I rubbed my eyes, and stared back at the hallway where I came from. My heart froze when I saw the blood bath in front of me.

I clasped my hands in front of my mouth. I turned my head, only to find a massive hole in the wall. I walked toward it and stared straight through several more until there was nothing but the outside. My eyes began watering.

I couldn't have done this... Could I?
