7. monsters and Migraines

Today is the day. Our class is going to go to the U.S.J. so we can get some rescue training. In the long run, I know that we need it. Everyone in this class has something to offer, but we just don't know what.
Kirishima and I are running late. We don't even have time to catch the train to U.A. so I decided to do something. They say rules are meant to be broken, and that's exactly what I'm doing. "Fierce wings!" I say aloud. I hug the red head from behind and we take to the sky.
Within two minutes, we arrive at the school and I deactivate the quirk. "Finally. It took you long enough. Let's get going." Aizawa-sensai rolls his eyes as we get on the bus.
I am lucky enough to sit next to Kirishima and Bakugo. The bus ride will take roughly 45 minutes. I attempt to use my future vision, but I can't see anything. Only static.
"You'll never be that popular Bakugo. Your attitude is the worst!" Tsu points out.
"What did you say, frog-face?! I'll kill you!" Bakugo shouts back.
I roll my eyes with a smirk, "you just dug yourself a hole, my friend."
Bakugo holds one hand close to my face and I can already feel the heat radiating off him. "Die!"
Just as a small explosion goes off, Kirishima hardens the skin on his forearm and takes the blow for me. "Leave her alone." His usually cheerful voice is stern.
The bus goes quiet. I rest a hand on Kirishima's shoulder and mumble to him, "he wasn't really going to hurt me, Kiri."
"See. You're way too violent." Tsu points at Kirishima and I, "on the other hand, you guys might make it. Yamada is a little cold, but she's powerful and smart. Kirishima isn't the brightest, but he's strong."
Kirishima rubs the back of his neck and laughs nervously.
I poke his ribs, "let's move. I have to talk to you." I grab his arm lightly, "mist body." We turn into mist and move into an empty seat on the back of the bus.
"That was cool. What did you want to talk about?" Kirishima smiles at me.
I take a deep breath, "I'm in the dark. Someone blocked my quirk, and now I can't see into the future."
His red eyes widen, "what?! How is that possible?"
"I don't know.. but I'm feeling something different.. like my heart is trying to leave my body.. like I want to run, but I'm frozen in place." My eyes are wide,and my hands are shaking violently.
"That's called fear. It's okay to be afraid now. You know why?" I shake my head and he continues, "because you're not alone anymore, (y/n). You have friends that will defend you. And you have me." Kirishima smiles and ruffles my hair.
I slowly nod, "yeah.. you're right.." I close my eyes and rest my head on his shoulder.
He wraps an arm around me and sighs, "we're heroes in training. What could happen?"
We arrive at U.S.J. and are briefed on what exactly we are to do. "I only have a few things to say.. or 5.." the pro-hero Thirteen begins.
"Um.. Thirteen..? What's that?" I interrupt him.
"What?" He turns around in time to see that over a hundred people begin to enter through a large black and violet vortex near the fountain.
"How did they get in? What about the security system?!" Todoroki points out.
Subconsciously, I grab Kirishima's arm. "Aizawa.. those are real villains."
He simply nods, "I know. Thirteen protect the students." He launches himself into the group of villains, taking out as many as he can.
As we turn to flee, a man made out of the vortex I noticed stops us. "Pardon me, but isn't All Might supposed to be here?"
Kirishima, Bakugo, and I launch an attack only to be the first to fall into his trap. Our classmates, no, our friends follow us into the abyss.

Where am I..? Everything is dark.. what about my friends? What about Kiri? Is he alright?

"------(Y/n)! Wake up!" Kirishima is lightly patting the side of my face. My green eyes slowly open, "That's right. Come on, (y/n)."
I slowly sit up, "Kiri, are you okay? Where is everyone else? Are they alright?"
"Who cares. We have bigger things to deal with right now, Tensai." Bakugo's rough voice makes me to realize what's going on.
"This is... This is the ruin zone." Kirishima's pulls me up off the ground. Thankfully he isn't hurt. "We're lucky to be in this zone." I look around and shift my stance to steady myself. "We're surrounded."
Over two dozen villains have us cornered. "Damn it!" Bakugo frowns and glances back at us. "Think of something before I just blow everything up!"
"Do you guys trust me?" I say.
"This isn't the best time for trust exercises, (y/n).." Kirishima hardens the skin on his arms.
"I said do you trust me?!" I raise my voice. They both nod. "This'll take a lot out of me, so when I say jump, jump. Then the rest is up to you." I crouch down and rest my hands on the ground. "Jump!" My green eyes glow, as do my freckles. "Earth shatter!!" I scream.
The brick floor around me visibly shakes before literally shattering. The building shakes but we go down one floor. I slump down on the ground, and cough up blood.
Kiri and Bakugo don't hesitate and begin to attack with their strong offensive quirks. They manage to take out most of the villains there.
"We need to go find our classmates!" Kirishima said.
"They can handle themselves! We need to go take down that Kurogiri-dude, so then the villains don't escape!" Bakugo shouts.
Kirishima seems to be getting annoyed, "our attacks didn't work!"
"We'll make them work then!"
"Bakugo! Behind you!" I shout out. A chameleon like villain tries a sneak attack on him.
He turns around and blasts the villain away swiftly. "Thanks for catching that."
Kirishima walks over and helps me up, "you okay?"
I brush off my costume and my smaller wounds heal slowly. Because of the experiments, I have incredible healing time. A paper cut for example will heal in just 30 seconds. "I'm fine. But Bakugo is right. Our friends are strong, they can save themselves. We need to go help Aizawa with the other villians."
"Plus, if the villains are as weak as the ones we fought then our classmates are fine." Bakugo's voice is suprisingly calm.
"Wow, I'm totally not used to this. I'm used to you screaming the word 'die'!" Kiri jokes.
"What?! I'll kill you shitty hair!" Bakugo shrieks.
I chuckle, "there he is! It's good to see ya buddy."
"Fuck off!"
In the end, Kiri and I accompany the blonde. We do have to take down that villain. It's true, I am very worried about the rest if class 1A, but I have to trust them. They can do this. I glance at Kirishima, and it seems that he and I are thinking the same thing. Bakugo believes in our classmates.
We finally arrive back to the Central Plaza and we waste no time jumping right into the battle. Just as the warp villain is about to trap Midoriya, Bakugo blasts him away with a large explosion.
He laughs as he pins down the villain by his neck gear. "What now, asswipe?!"
I turn to attack another villain, but freeze in my steps. "I-its you.."
The villain walks over to me, "long time, no see. Hello, Nine."
My shoulders visibly shake as I say his name, "S-shigaraki.."
He rests a hand on my shoulder, his quirk has no effect on me. It hasn't since I was young. "So.. your 'father' has been so worried about you~" he mocks me.
"Collapse."
"What?" Shigaraki questions.
I throw myself at him, and pin him down. "Collapse!" My body glows a brilliant blue, and I detonate. I pull myself up off the ground shakily, my body broken, I can hardly stand.
My eyes widen, "he took no damage.."
A bird like creature stands in front of the villain. It's made entirely of nightmares from the depths of hell. It's a Nomu.
"Ah, I see you remember Nomu~" the man mocks me again.
I collapse onto the ground. My legs are broken.. I can't breathe.. "(y/n)!" Kirishima yells at me and I can hear him run towards me.
"No! Run! Go help Bakugo! Go!" I scream at him.
He freezes in his step, hurt in his gaze. And no villain caused it. I did. He clenches his jaw and turns around, running towards Bakugo.
I let out a shaky breath, and forced myself to stand. All I have to do is hold them off until the other heroes arrive. I can do this for them. "Is that all you got?" I shoot Shigaraki my psycho grin.
He sends the Nomu after me, I block the blow, "shield!" A large shield appears over me. But it won't hold for much longer. If I risk using Collapse again, I'll never wake up again.. it's far to risky. I'm not in any condition to fight right now..
Suddenly, the Nomu is pushed away from me by All Might. "Young (y/n)! Are you okay?"
I try to stand again, "I can still fight!"
Suddenly I am pulled away from danger by Sero. "You can't, Yamada."
I push him away from me, "Titanium limbs!" My legs and arms become titanium, and my back is supported now. "I.. can.. still.. fight!"
I rush back into the fight and intercept a blow from Nomu. I'm launched to the side like a ragdoll. All might turns towards me, and I'm already pulling myself out of the rubble. "Yamada!"
I force my body to move. I have to protect them. I take another hit from Nomu, and I slide back about 15 feet. My own blood is making my vision blurry. "I'm fine! Just take him down!" The warp villain has me trapped, he's going to kill me.. "Take him down!"
All might nods and sends the Nomu through the roof with one powerful blow, "Plus Ultra!!!"
The other heroes arrive, and start to attack the remaining villains. The villains flee, leaving the U.S.J. and nearly every one of us are wounded. I shakily walk over to All Might, "Are you okay? I'm sorry I couldn't stop all the damage."
He looks at me, and his skin is smoking. He is wounded badly, this isn't good.. "..I'm fine."
My quirks slowly start reverting, and I crumble to the ground. "That's good to hear.." my eyes close and the last thing I see, is a concrete wall form around All Might, Midoriya and I.

//Timeskip//

I can hear the faintest sounds of beeping. A hushed conversation. Dad's voice.
"--you don't understand Mic!" That's All Might's voice..
"No! That's my daughter, there in that stupid hospital bed in pain! Because we showed up late to the attack!" Hizoshi sounds upset. Is it because of me?
"I knew." My green eyes open slightly against the harsh hospital lights.
"(Y/n), oh God you're okay!"
"Hizoshi, please let me finish." I interrupt. "If I hadn't taken those attacks from the Nomu, we would've had to find a new symbol of peace." I close my eyes again. "I knew what I was getting myself into. But I'm fine Dad. Did anyone else get seriously hurt?"
I can hear him sniffle, "Thirteen and Sho will be fine, they're in stable condition. You and Midoriya were the only students seriously injured."
I sit up slowly, "And Kiri?"
"He's at home. He hasn't been able to come in here yet, you just got out of the ICU."
"Okay. What's the damage to me?" I breathe out.
Hizoshi rubs the back of his neck, "four broken ribs. Both legs are broken. A broken collarbone. One shoulder out of socket, the other fractured. And a concussion." He covers his mouth as he chokes back a sob, "I'm so sorry I didn't get there sooner..."
"It's not your fault. I'm alive, we're all going to be alright, so please don't cry dad.." I close my eyes, "mend." I feel my bones snap back into place, and heal. "T-there.. See, I'm fine now.."
The doctor walks in and she raises an eyebrow at me, "ah. You just fixed your bones, didn't you?"
I nod, "yes ma'am. I just hate seeing my dad worry about me."
She chuckles, "I used to be the same way with my mom. Come on, let's go see if they healed properly." The doctor helps me into a wheelchair and pushes me down the hallway for x-rays.
I take all the proper x-rays, and as expected, my bones are now in perfect condition. If anything, they're stronger than before. The bones healed, but the bruises and scars will remain for a while.
The casts are removed, and I stand. It's still sore, but I can do this. "Thank you Ma'am." I walk back down the hallway to the hospital room.
"(Y/n)?!" Hizoshi looks suprised.
"I didn't want to see you cry.." I slowly walk over and hug him. I hate physical contact, but we both need this.
"(Y/n), how are you feeling?" Midoriya's voice can be heard from the other side of the curtains. I pull them open, and the boy is in better condition then I expected. "Midoriya, I'm glad you're okay."
He smiles at me, "you were so fearless back there!"
"I was terrified.. not for me though. I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to get to you guys in time.. I feared that if I didn't get there, you guys would've been dead.." my hands start shaking again.
I cover my face with my hands, "I couldn't protect my friends.." I start crying, and I'm vaugly aware of Hizoshi pulling me into a hug.
