18. Blue Sky

I did end up managing to get the rankings after an hour of bribing Hizashi.
It worked and i have the list on a post-it note in my pocket.
Eijiro and i walk back into homeroom after a long day of seemingly never ending classes.
"Okay, thats it for class." Aizawa grumbles as he straightens a stack of papers at his desk. "There's only one week left until final exams. You are all studying properly, right? I'm sure you already know, but it won't just be a written exam. Theres also a practical component. Make sure you train your minds and bodies at the same time. Thats all." he said as he walked out of the room.
"I haven't studied at all!!" Kaminari and Mina shout.
"You probably should start then." i pull the list out of my pocket, "Kaminari is in last place education wise, Mina you're in 20th place out of the class."
"With the sports festival and internship, i didn't study at all!" Kaminari screams with his head in his hands while Mina just laughs.
"Its true that we had one event after another, but.." Tokoyami sighs.
"You should study too, you're in 15th place." i mumble to him.
He nods to me, "thanks for informing me of that."
"For the midterms, we'd just started school, so they didn't cover much, so i didn't really have a hard time with them, but with the back to back events and stuff; the finals will be different." Sato mumbled nervously.
"You should be fine. You're in 13th place though. Koda you're in 12th." i say to them. "Just study just in case."
"It'll be tough since there's a practical exam, too." Mineta said with a smug smirk.
"You're only in 10th place though pervert. You're not safe from the grades either." i glare at him.
"You were 10th on the midterms?!" Mina and Kaminari shout.
"And here i thought you were one of us!" Mina grumbles angrily.
"Guys like you are only likable if they're dumb! Where's the demand for this?!" Kaminari frowns at him.
Mineta smirks, "the world i guess."
"Ashido, Kaminari!" Midoriya shouts. "L-let's do our best! We all want to go to the training camp together, right?"
"What's his rank..?" Mina mumbles to me.
I look at my chart until i find his name, "woah.. You got 5th Midoriya?"
"Yes! As class rep, i also have high hopes that you'll be moved into action!" Iida shouts.
"Iida you got third!" i announce in mild shock.
"Its pretty hard to fail if you just pay attention in class." Todoroki grumbles.
"He came in 6th place." i whisper to myself.
"Be careful with your words!!" Kaminari shouts.
"You two, i may be able to be of assistance with the class lectures." Yaoyorozu offers kindly.
"Take the offer. She placed in 1st." i mumble to them.
"Yao-Momo!!" they shout in unison.
"I can't help at all with the practical though.." Yaoyorozu mumbles sadly.
"I'm not one of those two, but can i join too?" Jiro asks. "I finished in 8th, but it needs improvement and I'm having some trouble with quadratic functions.."
Yaoyorozu looks up, "huh?"
"Sorry, me too! How are you with classical Japanese?" Sero asks. He finished in 18th place overall.
"Huh?" She seems confused.
"I'd like to join too.." Ojiro mumbled. "I finished in 9th.. And there's a bunch of stuff i don't get."
"Please!" they cry in unison.
Yaoyorozu looks flattered and her eyes sparkle, "everyone! Yes of course!"
They shout back excitedly, "all right!"
"Then, let us hold a study session at my residence this weekend!" Yaoyorozu exclaims.
"Seriously? I can't wait to see your house!" Mina grins.
"Oh, in that case, i must tell Mother and have her open up the hall!" she said while bouncing in place. "What kind of tea are you all partial to? In my family, we always drink Harrod's or Wedgwood, so if you have any preference, let me know! Of course, you can trust me to help you study, too! I will definitely show you how i can help!"
"What was that again? Harry's? Thats fine." Kaminari mumbles.
"Look at the difference in virtue." Eijiro mumbles.
"I can do it, too! Want me to beat it into you?" Bakugo grumbles.
"Yeah, I'm counting on you!" Eijiro grins.
"Bakugo. Don't forget you already asked me to help you study." i sigh.
Eijiro looks at me in shock, "what places did you two get anyways?"
"I finished in 2nd while Bakugo got 4th." i say. "You however finished in 16th."
"Everyone's panicking now, even though it won't do any good to cram this late in the game." Aoyama said with a smug smile.
"Shouldn't you be cramming a little?" Shoji grumbles.
"What are you talking about?" Aoyama asks seriously. "What is it?"
"You are in 19th place opposed to my 11th place." Shoji states as he walks off.

At lunch i sit with the Bakusquad. "I can't say that i'm suprised by your places." Sero gestures to Mina and Kaminari with his chopsticks.
"You're all morons!" Bakugo shouts.
"Bakugo." i warn. "Watch your tone."
"Wait.. What place did you get, Yamada?" Mina asks.
"Second." i say as i eat my dumplings.
"Second?!" Kaminari shouts. "You're not one of us either!"
"Eat your lunch, Pikachu." i speak with narrowed eyes.
Eijiro chuckles and he wraps an arm around my waist. "I'm just lucky that my beautiful girlfriend is going to help me out!"
I lean my head on his shoulder, "should we study afterschool?"
Bakugo nods, "yeah."
"Yamada! Hey!" a girl shouts at me.
I turn to face a girl from 1B that i helped train for the sports festival. "Kendo? What is it?"
"An upperclassmen told me that for the practical exam we'll be up against the robots from the entrance exam. I just thought I'd tell you." she said breathlessly.
"Thank you for informing me, Kendo. I owe you one." i bow my head lightly.
"Think nothing of it! Enjoy your lunch!" she said over her shoulder as she walks away.
"Yes! At least this part will be easy!!" Mina shouts.
It doesn't seem to add up though. The teachers have something else planned. I can't let my guard down.

After school, Bakugo Eijiro and i go to the boba shop i brought them to a while ago to study.
"Ms. Moriyama!" i call out.
The woman walks out and looks suprised to see me. "(Y/n) dear? Did you just get out of class?"
I nod, "yes we did. You remember Bakugo and Kirishima-chan right? We need to study here for a big exam."
She nods, "well i'll happily provide snacks. Boys, why don't you head to that back table. (Y/n) can you help me for a minute?"
"Alright. What do you need?" i ask.
Ms. Moriyama frowns, "this shop is running low on funds and we hardly get any customers.."
"I can decorate the outside of the shop for you, if you want?" i offer.
She lets out a relieved sigh, "thank you dear."
I step out side of the shop and look at the fading brown paint and the wilted flowers outside. I hold my hand out to the flowers, "plant manipulation." the plants instantly return to normal and are covered with bright blooms. I walk back inside, "theres nothing i can do about the paint, but hopefully with the flowers you'll get more customers."
She bows her head, "you're a saint on earth. I'll bring you some drinks! Go study now dear."
I turn in time to see Bakugo hitting Eijiro on the head with a stack of papers while the red head writes furiously in a notebook. "No you moron! Like this!"
"Ack! Okay okay!"
I roll my eyes as i walk over to the table. This is gonna be a long day..
