Salem POV
"So, what do you guys wanna do?" I heard Skylie ask slowly and awkwardly. Skylie, that really didn't help lighten the mood.
"Well first of all, I think you need to get Taylor's scratches cleaned up. They look pretty nasty, and he seems to be getting paler." Derek pointed out matter-of-factly.
Skylie helped Taylor upstairs and I realized something.
I'm alone in the kitchen with Derek. And he seems to not help the situation.
This is how our conversation went.
Him: So...during gym...you kinda walked away while I was trying to introduce myself...
Me: ...
Him:...So I'm Derek! And, uh...*sticks hand out*
Me: ...*stares at hand blankly*
Him: No? Okay.
Me: *Starts texting Skylie to hurry up*
And then, I received a text back.
"UGH LEAVE ME ALONE! IM HAVING SOME LUCK HERE!"She wrote. I almost had an LMFAO fest right there, before realizing that Derek was still there.
Crap. Some LMFAOing sounds pretty good right about now. Especially in that moment when he's just standing there staring at the wall.
"Okay, we're back! Didja have fun while we were gone?" Skylie suddenly burst out from the stairs.
"Uhm-well-uh-" Derek stuttered.
"No." I finished, casting him a glare. He held his hands up in surrender.
"Well, Taylor's all bandaged up. He's going to have to stay for a while, though, because he still can't walk very well." Skylie explained.
"But in the meantime, who wants to play some twister?"
