PLEASE READ THIS NOTE:
The musical Guys and Dolls has a huge part in the book. If you have seen the play and remember, you're good to go, but if you have not, then I suggest you read the script. HERE is a link to the script in PDF, please read through it, or partially through it, at least, to get an understanding of the play...
The begininng of the PDF is not in English, I think it is in Spanish, but the actual script is in English. Please read it!

Charlotte POV
Clutching the little black book, my hands were trembling. It wasn’t like I should have had anything to be scared of- Paula couldn’t threaten me, Mrs. Cole had cooled down from last Wednesday’s event at the museum- I should have walked into this rehearsal and owned it.
But I couldn’t.
Why not? The reason lay with one incredibly good looking male that I would have to kiss sooner or later because I’m Sarah and he’s Sky and we have to. Not to mention that he’s also Paula’s boyfriend.
A moment passed. And then another. I could hear the distinct chatter from inside the choir room of my three other fellow leads.
Any longer and they’d begin to wonder where I was.
I steeled myself and then pumped the handle and walked in.
All eyes turned to me. I felt the heat of Paula’s glare on me.
I rolled back my shoulders, lifted my chin, strode to the only empty stool left in the circle of five where the leads and Mrs. Cole were, and began flipping through my script. “So, where are we? I made a few notes that I thought we could look at because the blocking would be-”
“Hey, Charlotte?” Mrs. Cole cleared her throat. “Matthew’s got the first scene so we’re just going to start reading, m’kay? We’ll get to your notes, sweetheart.”
“Oh,” I cringed slightly at the palpable disappointment in my voice, and in attempt to soothe my nerves I cleared my throat. “Right, yeah, okay.” I eased myself on the stool and tried to conceal my burning cheeks.
“So,” Mrs. Cole slipped off of the stool and opened up a red binder. “The Tech Crew is working on the sets at this moment,” I thought of Anita, probably an inch away from scratching Samir’s eyeballs out. “and they’re scheduled to be done by early March, and the stage will be set up at that time too- the show will be on April 24th, 25th, and 26th, as you already know. We’re going to work on the expression right now but after spring break we’ll get up on stage and do the real dress rehearsals.” She looked up at us. “Sound good?”
Our silence was all she needed. “Perfect. I’m just going to start with the beginning scenes with Adelaide and Nathan, so…” She glanced up at me and David. “You two go outside and practice your lines. Maybe work on some blocking, too.”
Frickity-fracking fantastic.
Avoiding the lasers burning into my skin coming (curiously) from Paula’s direction, we awkwardly headed out of the chorus room.
I walked to the cafeteria where tech crew was painting sets, which was right across from the chorus room, and peered in. David followed me. “What are you looking at?”
