Bughead (Betty and Jughead) oneshots

Future

    Betty and Jughead lay side by side on the king size bed in the Five Seasons Motel.
     Although it was around 3am, Betty couldn't get some sleep. Jughead had already crashed but she couldn't. There were so many things on her mind like how her dad, Hal turned out to be the Black hoodie. How could a father torment his own daughter like that, kill a janitor, a drug dealing teacher, a pedophile and worse, almost killed her own best friend's father. She understood that they were bad people but why kill. She couldn't grab the gain of ending someone's life. Just like when she went home after that night with Jughead to see her mom wiping up blood from the living room; the living room she had grown up in. She felt nothing but nausea and disgust.
    She also pondered on Jughead's question. Did she want to be his serpent queen? Of course she did. But she didn't want them to end up like her mom and FP. She loved Jughead too much for that. She did not know whether she was ready for that type of power. But she had done a strip tease in the White Wyrm for a spot on the gang and here was a free opportunity but she was so scared to take it now.
      But sincerely those were not what really bothered Betty. Her and her friends were juniors. Pretty soon they will become seniors and then they'll leave for college and possibly never meet again. Betty was going to study journalism in New York but Jughead wanted to stay in Riverdale to take care of the serpents but Betty didn't want to be held back in Riverdale. She wanted to explore and grow but she didn't want to leave her friends behind, she didn't want to leave Jughead behind.
      "What are you thinking of?" a sleepy looking Jughead asked, sitting up.
     Betty would have loved to lie but Jughead knew her too well. He'd probably give her a look and she'll confess.
     "I was just thinking about us, our future together." she answered
     Jughead pulled her close and cuddled her.
     "Don't worry about us. You are my future." Jughead said before giving her a kiss.
