A/N: so I'm trying a slightly different writing style. I'm sorry for not updating in ages, but I'm trying to get back onto a schedule.

School is busy so I'll update when I can. Byee.

Alex's POV

Finally. Garrett could leave. I came by every day, always accompanied by some form of present.

The first day was flowers. Then chocolate, then a smuggled Subway sandwich, you get the idea.

Sometimes we would watch whatever 80's movie played on the small TV crudely hung in the cobweb covered corner, and others I would lay in his bed and fall asleep.

Although we could go home, Garrett was too sore to do anything remotely sexual. The drive back to the house was filled with uncomfortable silence, the road eerily silent. His hand was intertwined with mine, and he sat silently, the air thick with tension.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked suddenly.

I didn't say a word. Instead I rubbed my thumb gently over his hand, trying to sooth whatever negative emotions might be lurking.

"Of course not. I could never be mad at you." Tension still dripped silently from the air, creating a curtain of unwanted silence. But nobody knew what to say, so the silence still spread between us.

"I read your letter." I said almost timidly. "Don't you dare think for a single second that I will leave you. I know you're hurting, and I want to be there for you through this, every step of the way."

"I love you. I love the way you smile like you don’t realize you’re doing it. I love your perpetual bed head. I love the way you hold eye contact a moment longer than you need to. (THATS A QUOTE AND I DONT OWN IT IF YOU GET THAT REFERENCE ILY) I love every single impossibly cute thing about you."

And he smiled. He smiled that cheeky, adorable smirk that made his eyes twinkle with mischief.

"I don't deserve you." He mumbled before slipping to sleep.

"It's the other way around."
