George had surprised you by showing up at your door early in the morning. A smile plastered on his face and a hand put out in front of you, signalling to take it.

George and you had been the best of friends since you met at the interview. Every day was another day of laughs and getting to know each other more.

You couldn't help but develop feelings which were not just of friendship, but something more.

He'd surprised you with a picnic on top of a hill, knowing George, food had to be somewhere in the equation.

You'd spent the day messing around and just having plain fun. It wasn't until you stopped chasing each other around that you both realised the sun was well on its way to disappearing.

The golden sky reflected into George's brown eyes as you looked at him, trying to place the daisy crown you had just made on his head.

George tried making one for you, but it was messy and wasn't exactly a crown. Nonetheless you laughed as he put it on because you loved it anyways.

You both laid down, lying next to each other looking up at the sky, and occasionally glancing looks at one another while the other wasn't watching.

George then propped himself onto his elbows, looking down at you, a smile on his face but his eyes shone with nervousness.

"Y/n, I'm going to ask you something, but you don't have to say yes, I mean it'd be nice if you did but I'm not making you, I mean I haven't even asked yet but still I'd hope you'd agree perhaps this isn't the right tim-"

George tended to ramble a lot when he was nervous, this being a perfect example. You cut him off with a laugh. You found it funny how he's always get too nervous to say anything, wether in front of you or the boys.

"Geo, whatever you have to say, you can just say it y'know? I don't bite." You chuckled once again as he removed some of his hair out of face.

"Y/n, I-" George was cut off by you once again, this time with your lips pressed against his.

You knew George wouldn't say it, he was too shy. So you took the first move for him.

Butterflies formed in your stomach as you pulled away, uncertain of what you just did.

George just smiled, grinning like a fool. "I guess you took the words out of my mouth, literally." He chuckled, and you laughed too.
