Winter came hard this year, I was always shivering when I wasn't around Jax. I was having to make a visit to the school because my parents decided I needed to see what it was like to live on my own for a while so I had to take care of things. The school needed to know how I was doing and if anything was making me have difficulties. The breeze made my skirt ruffled as it froze my legs, I held my arms and hurried as fast as I could to the school. My black hair had gotten down past my hips so it brushed against my bare legs every once and while making me have more goosebumps then normal.
After Jax's punishment, I wore the collar almost every day, he purred when he saw me in it and would hug me from behind saying I look sexy with it. I blushed at the thought as I opened the school door, retieing the ascot around the collar and covering it. I shook myself as I composed myself, I stood tall and smiled widely. The teachers smiled back but I could tell they were faking it, "Miss Sun, how are you today?" A woman asked in a monotone voice.
"I am fine thank you. How are you all?" I asked in the same voice showing the same false confidence I do every time I went out in public, I sat in the single chair in front of them, pulling what little of the skirt there was before sitting and crossing my legs, placing my hands neatly folded in my lap.
"Fine." They all answered, "So, we are here today to discuss your schooling." The same woman declared.
I nodded and sat patiently for the first question, "Has anything been difficult for you? We've seen that you go through the studies slower than you have before." My hand wanted to mess with the collar around my neck but I remained still.
"My parents are on vacation, they want to see how I do living on my own for the future and I've been doing all the house work. Nothing has put too much of a challenge on my mind, I've simply been busy with house work." I replied smoothly.
"I see." She jotted down a note or two, "Well, what about the things your learning? Are they up to your standards or are they boring to you?"
"No ma'am, I thoroughly enjoy what I am learning."
"Mhm." She glazed at her clipboard for a moment, "We would also like to ask about your home life. Any relationships? And it says here you have a Neko? How long have you had him?" This was starting to get too personal for me. I shifted in my seat, the cool wood pressing against my legs as my smiled faltered for a moment.
"Not presently, no. No relationships. And yes, my Neko's name is Jax, I've had him since I was 10." I gazed at my hands as the main woman glared at me over her glasses.
"What about this mating season? It says here that his kind can get to be 'overwhelming' during that time." She put an emphasis on kind, making my anger boil.
"My Jax has never done anything to me if that is what you are asking." I said a little too harshly, "Jax is the sweetest person I know, and he would never hurt me." I pressed my lips into a thin line.
They seemed shocked with my answer, "Alright Blue. That will be all." A man grunted waving me off. I frowned as I stood briskly, noting how he called me Blue instead of Miss Sun, fixed my skirt and stormed out. I need Jax. I thought to myself as I hurried home. They have no right to disrespect him because he has cat ears and a tail. I love him for who he is and I would be honored if I was to ever be like him. I slammed the door again not caring how the cold made my whole body numb, I stomped upstairs and threw my door open, startling Jax from his nap.
"Oh Jax I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I said as his tail's fur slowly smoothed down.
"What's wrong? And don't say nothing this time something is clearly wrong." He stood and walked up to me, holding my hands as he gazed into my eyes, fear and worry painted in his eyes.
