Chapter 5

}Veronica's  Pov{

I followed after the Cheerleader, that almost kiss consuming my mind. The wave of affection and heat that ran through my body as we both leant in. Fuck. God damn people interrupting our moments. I could just imagine it, my lips fitting perfectly with her plumped pink lips , her hands running into my hair...and gripping, kisses becoming more passionate and strong, her hands move down and travel over me now and go down...Stop it Veronica! Inappropriate. God but I had never seen such a beautiful girl. I catch a glimpse of her down the hallway and bite my lip slightly. She was outside her changing rooms with her friends and they were all chatting about something and nudging her and ruffing her around. Then I noticed a couple look down my way and grin turning to Toni again to whisper. One turns back around and calls down the hallway.

"Hey Veronica! Toni thinks you're beautiful and thinks you should go out on a date with her!" one called up and at the same time, me and Toni both went bright red and stiff.

"Or to her trailer if youre more forward" another called out then whistled and now Toni punched her arm and shoved them into the changing rooms.

"V! She is totally into you, even her friends admit it now. Its so obvious" Betty came up behind me and gave me a tight hug "You should totally go on a date with her!" she giggled and I groaned.

"Bettyyyy" I whined and escaped her hug to turn and face her "I just...ughh" I dropped my head and covered my face with my hand. "We almost kissed outside" I said which triggered a squeal to leave her lips and she jumped up and down clapping.

"Omg omg omg . yes! my otp" she cheered and gave me another hug which caused a little laugh to erupt from me. "She totally wants you then. Just think, imagine her winning the game and you go running to her and...aghhh its gonna perfect" she grinned and I rolled my eyes , "Lets  just get to the line up yeah?" I linked arms with her and walked down the corridor.

"Mmm so the girl has grown a pair, this is going to be a problem, she cant have Toni" Cheryl muttered to another vixen. "Lets move".

We all head to the entrance to the field to do this stupid line up thing Cheryl had done just so she got to show off her and Toni together. I went near to the front and Cheryl was already standing at the very front looking smug . She turned to face me and grinned "Your time Is up V, shes mine. Just you watch her take me in her arms. Oh I can imagine it...her strong arms wrapped around my waist, her lips pressing against my neck..." she smirked slightly and I just rolled my eyes.

"Try not to orgasm, that would be embarrassing in front of everyone" I scoffed and she gave me a sharp glare but her look softened as she looked behind me. I turned and I couldnt take my eyes off her. She was beautiful. As she walked past she gave me a quick wink which left me blushing a dark purple. She stood next to Cheryl and Cheryl instantly took her arm. She leant towards Toni and placeda kiss on her cheek gently. Toni didn't react at all, she just kept looking forward. Toni's friend Sam came and stood beside me and I took her arm gently "Hey" I smiled a little but I knew she could see my disappointment. She didnt seem offended by this though, she leant by my ear and whispered quietly

"Trust me , she wishes she was holding onto you too" I looked at Sam quickly and she gave me a quick smirk. My eyes went to Toni again who seemed to be trying to keep calm and deal with the fact that Cheryl was pulling her closer and trying to get her to kiss her.  I just rolled my eyes and mumbled "The team like you, you would be good for her, she needs someone good" she spoke quietly again and I nodded slightly. The music started and the pairs walked into the game to go line up in the middle of the field. The cheer team broke off and we gave them one hell of a performance. They al cheered and whooped as she played it out and then we finished it off with our final pose. Everyone clapped but te only person who I cared to impress was Toni. Her eyes were on me and she clapped loudly withthat cheeky grin on her face.

Finally it was time for the game to start so me and the girls sat on the side lines to watch. We waited anxiously for the buzzer to start the game. When it went off we all cheered as the first girl from Toni's team kicked the ball across the field and they all ran. My eyes were constantly on Toni as she ran across the field after the ball and she jumped, catching it then made a runner towards the end . Unfortunately she was aught on that one. However this didnt stop her, so many times she would run and get to the end scoring more and more points. The game was very close and heated. Both sides being vicious in their attacks. More than once I had flinched when Toni got knocked down and thrown about. I Could see some bruising gathering on her arms but her face was covered up. It came to the last minute and both teams were at a tie. It was the final straw. Who would take it. Toni waited patiently as the girl who had the ball was getting ready to kick. I could almost hear the whole crowd hold their breath. I watched as the ball was booted over and it went far. Tonis legs looked like they were going to fast for her feet to handle but she got it and she was off. Cheers erupted and people all stood up to get a better view as she ran, including me.25 seconds left. she dodged one low attack and continued on on the left. 15 seconds left. Two people went to grab her this time and in some crazy movement , she slid across the ground in between them and the crowd went wild as she easily got back up on her two feet coming right up close to the line now. 10. the other team started crowding around her. 9 she looked around to check for the opponents. 8 her eyes went back to the line 7. her final steps grew nearer as she was so close to the line. 6. the crowd all leant over to see as she changed her step. 5 she leapt into a dive as one person went for a side grab. 4. they missed and Toni was falling towards the line. 2 I saw it all happen as ifit was in slow motion. An opponent went to slide under toni to stop her but she didnt get in the right position and her foot flew up towards Tonis head and her boot kicked right up under her helmet and knocked it off whist proceeding to catch Toni's face. My hand went over my mouth but...1. even with the kick to the face she made it over and landed the ball over the line and rolled across the ground. 0. Cheers cried out and people screaming her name, mainly our cheer team, mainly me and Cheryl. But I was worried about her face injury. The Vixens got up from our chairs and ran towards our Bulldogs team who had done to Toni and helped her up. The vixens started jumping and hugging the team but I was looking for one specific girl. I Saw her at the side , her face was slightly bruised on one side and a little blood on her cheek. But she just smiled. I dont know what it was but we just ran to each other. Like we could read each others mind in that one moment. She pulled me close and wrapped her arms around my waist and my had went to her cheek , running my thumb smoothly over her bruised cheek.

"You really gotta look after yourself more" I chuckled quietly and then she just lean in and our lips connected . Sparks flew and heat filled my body. Now both of my hands cupped her cheeks as I kissed back , the passion passing between us. It was perfect. Archies kisses were nothing compared to this. even adding them all together it couldnt be as good as this one kiss. Time stopped. Now there was new cheering, but not for the game, for us. I pulled back for a second to look into her eyes "Its about time" I whispered smirking and then leant in again to press another kiss on her lips.
