Stargazing | Vanitas x Reader

Ding. Ding. Ding. [Y/n] groaned in annoyance. Her phone read New messages From Vani. She open the text messages.

Vani: hey. got plans tonight?

[Y/n] texted back.

You: no, y?

Vani: it's supposed to be super clear tonight and I was wondering if u would like to go stargazing? u know in our normal spot?

Vani: I know it sounds cheesy but I'll buy u food if u go, so what do u say?

You: are you asking me on a date? 😂

Vani: well I mean, it is but...
Vani: You know what Get the fuck ready and stop asking questions I'll being there in a few.

You: kk. See you then.

[Y/n] got up to shower. She had to make quick because Vanitas means it when he says he will be here in a few, and by that meaning that you have five minutes.
After taking the world's quickest shower she blow dried her hair and threw on a simple pair of black jeans, a random band t-shirt Vanitas had given her when he grew out of it and some sneakers. After tying her shoes, she heard a knock at the door. "Vanitas Stop knocking you know you have a key!" she Yelled. "I lost it, let me in goddammit! It's Cold!" she ran to the door to let him in. He had some McDonald's in his hand for her. "FOOD!" She snatched the food from his hand. " Told you I would bring you food, now let's go, you can eat that when we get there. "

Vanitas took the long way to their spot. It was a Massive oak tree ( serious bridge to terabithia vibes right now even tho the tree in the was an apple crab tree but hey!) and on a clear night, it's beautiful. "Hey! I know you like food and all but can you at least not make a mess?" said Vanitas. " It's your fault " [Y/n] Giggled. "if your gonna make a mess at least give me a French fry! " Vanitas smiled as he reached in the bag to grab one. "Nuuuuuu! My fries!!!" [Y/n] cried. " You'll pay for that!" [Y/n] joked. "One I did, Two We're almost there so gimme another one" Vanitas snatched another french fry. " Vanitas I'll kill you for that  " She gave him a death glare  "Heh I wanna see that happen" Vanitas laughed. " Don't make in front of me!" [Y/n] tried to keep a straight face but she ended up laughing too. "come on we are here. " Vanitas hopped out of his truck ( don't know what it actually is just imagine some old truck like what a highschooler would first drive lol ) and grabbed a blanket for them to sit on.
"Hey look at the constellation. " Van it as pointed up to the sky. "Do you know which constellation that is Vanitas?" [Y/n] asked. "No I'm not a nerd, if that's what your asking" He said Back. "That's the Constellation Andromeda. In Greek mythology, Andromeda was the daughter of King Cepheus of Ethiopia and Queen Cassiopeia, who offended the Nereids (sea nymphs) by claiming that their daughter was more beautiful than they were.The nymphs complained to the sea god Poseidon and he sent a sea monster to flood and destroy Cepheus' lands as punishment for his wife's boastfulness. Subsequently, Andromeda was chained to a rock and would have been left to the monster if Perseus had not come along and saved her. It's a cool love story if you think about it." [Y/n] Explained. Vanitas was quite. "Something wrong Vanitas?" She asked. "uhmm... " Vanitas cleared his throat " uh no nothing at all" Vanitas flashed a fake smile, but [Y/n] Could see through that façade. "Vanitas, come on you have to tell me. it's not everyday you flash a Fake ass Smile. " she claimed. "It's really nothing, I'm fine I'm... Fi-- " [Y/n] Hugged him. "Vanitas I won't let go unless you tell me!" She said not letting go. "No! Get off!" Vanitas tried prying her off, but it didn't work. "Fine fine I'll tell you but you have to promise to not say anything after okay?"
"okay"
"[Y/n] I... I like s-someone but I can confess to them because I feel like I'm going to get rejected. She is so smart and can tell you anything off the top of her head.  I have never experienced this before and I don't know what to say to her. " Vanitas confessed.
"oh. " [Y/n] seemed a Little disappointed."Who is this girl?"
"I-I can't tell you that until I have some advice. " He said. "Well if you really like this girl then you should just straight up tell her you like her, it may seem hard at first but I'm pretty sure whoever this is won't reject you. " [Y/n] advised slightly disappointed. "OK then here it goes then, [Y/n] I-I like you, no I love you. Ever since we first met I keep falling for you everyday but I was scared that if I asked you would reject me. " Vanitas Said. "You Love me? Oh Vanitas.... I have a Confession too..." Vanitas Didn't like that... What if she liked someone else.... "I... I love you too" she hugged him tighter. He face lit up and he hugged back "Really? That's amazing news [Y/n]!" She Looked up at him and he kissed her forehead. " I'm glad I'm now your boyfriend and Best friend. "Vanitas said.
"Me too. " [Y/n] said back.
They continued to cuddle and point out constellations.
