Coincidence? I Think Not

Obi's P.O.V

The final battles today and I'm anxious to see who would win the tournament. Ikoris has been in the lead ever since the race they had. We somehow had a 'medicine' fight at the end and I'm pretty sure that little girl won. Now that was the most entertaining and interesting trial I have seen yet. She's fast for a short stack.

*Flashback......*

"Y'all ready for the race," Zen yelled out and got 'yes's.

"Ready," Zen yelled.

"Get set," Mitsuhide shouts.

"Go," I scream.

Ikoris's P.O.V

I was at the race and got into a running position which is bending down with one foot back and one foot forward. I heard them saying words but I closed my eyes to tune them out. I need to focus but I can't when I hear them giving speeches.

"I don't know why your still here. After the whole failure trial you did, I thought you'd know your place," Lamezero said with a smirk and Zuri

"I do know my place," I whispered to them while the count down started.

"And it's first place," I whispered and took off when I heard them say go.

I ran as fast as my tiny legs could carry me and blocked out all the runners. I jumped over obstacles and ducked under obstacles. I felt the adrenaline in my veins and the only sound I could make out was my heart pumping fast. I couldn't see anyone around me and I couldn't hear anyone around me.

With a thought of Zuri or Lamezero catching up to me, I ran faster if that was possible. I could feel my heart aching and my my breathes are getting uneven but I have to win this. My feet grow numb from the hard concrete we're running on and I can hear the slapping of my feet hitting the concrete.

I finally saw the finish line and that made me run the fastest I ever ran before and jump into it with a roll at the end. The ribbon cut and I could hear the pretty loud cheers from behind. Zero ran up to me with a water bottle in his hand and I gladly snatched and devoured it.

"Ikoris? Look behind you," Zero said and I did.

I gasped at the sight of all my fellow challengers way behind me. They weren't even that close to the ribbon and I past the ribbon. I looked over to see people with wide eyes looking over at me. I just smiled sheepishly I sat next to Zero who had an amazed look.

They finally made it over the cut ribbon and went to sit down. I bet my face was red from all that running I was doing. I guess that excersizing really paid off for me. The crew walked over to me and we stood in the line while the judges talked.

"How," Zuri asked to no one in particular.

"Skills," I said with a smirk on my face.

I heard 2 growls come from behind me and I ignored it. They can be mad all the want because I don't have a care in the world if they are. Thd judges finally broke apart and walked over to us. I was still breathing heavy from loss of oxygen but I'll be fine.

"I think ya'll all know the winner but I'll say it anyway. The winner is Ikoris," Obi said and I heard cheers.

"Th-thank ...y...you," I said between paints.

"No problem," he said and walked away.

I said and fell to the ground. The group started walking up to me as my breathes became softer. I then heard a familiar voice yell my name and ran to me.
