I didn't see Minho much after that. Not for a couple weeks anyway. Anytime I did, it would only be a glimpse of him as he dashed off somewhere.

Of course I missed him but I didn't take his constant rush and busyness personally. I knew he was training hard so that he could continue his road to debut and that he wouldn't have much spare time to talk.

As the days passed, I often wondered how the show was going and if Minho was alright.

I didn't get my answer until a few weeks after our last conversation.

I was chatting with a few of my trainee friends in the hall, outside the practise studio. One of the girls, Hyerim, was telling a the story of her audition and I was blanking out. It was a funny story but I'd heard it several times.

A little way up the hall, a door was slammed shut. I jumped at the noise but friends merely glanced that way then returned to their conversation.

I probably would have done the same had I not saw the familiar figure walking away with hunched over shoulders that shook slightly as though they had hiccups or were crying.
