~ Third Person Point Of View ~
Min-Seo ran until she was out of breath. She couldn't get back to the university on foot. It was at least another 7 miles away. She leaned against the wall to catch her breath. Her thoughts were running faster than her heart. What just happened? Why did he let me go? Who was he? What was going on in that warehouse? Why did he try to wipe my tears? She was so confused, she wanted answers but all she wanted to do more than anything was to go back to her dorm and get some sleep. She walked back to the main road. Her feet dragging her to move forward. She was tired, dirty, and hungry. She had to ignore all that and try to get back in time for class the next day. The car honk startled her and she looked at the car. She squinted her eyes to try and see if the car was trying to get her attention. Her eyes widen with fear as she realized that the car was the same car Deok-su left in. She backed up and entered the alleyway. She hid behind a dumpster. She peaked out and saw the car slowly drive off and she sighed in relief. Suddenly a hand was placed over her mouth to muffle her screaming. The other arm was wrapped around her neck as the unknown person dragged her further into the alley. Seriously?! Looks like I'm dying tonight. How fun. You know I was planning to just see what he was doing and then I'll leave. But alright.
She closed her eyes and waited for the perfect timing before.... there it was. When the attacker looked back she took that moment to raise her elbow and jabbed the man in the guts. He fell to the floor holding his stomach as she ran. He wasn't down for long, it took thirty seconds before he got up and chased her.
"You fucking brat!" He screamed at her. Now he was within arms length. He reached out to grab her but she fell and hit her head on the side of the dumpster. Knocking her out.
"Bil-eo meog-eul amkae." He spitted on her as he started to undo his belt buckle.
"I think the fuck not."
The man turned around and was greeted by someone's fist, knocking him to the floor. The man wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth as he got up. He tried to punch him but was unsuccessful. This made the man pull out a small dagger he had in his back pocket. He swung the blade back and forth trying to cut the stranger. He managed to cut the stranger across his left cheek before he sent the man flying with one kick. After the man passed out on the floor, the stranger helped Min-Seo into a car. 10 minuets later she started to wake up. She bolted up from the seat and accidentally head butted the person looking down at her.
"Ah fuck"
"I'm so sorry I - Deok-su? What are you..." She slowly began to realize that he might have saved her.
"Did you...."
"Save you from that man? Yea." He replies as he checked to see if he was bleeding.
She stared at him in disbelief. "Why?"
"What do you mean why? I saw you needed help so I stepped in. But don't go getting the wrong idea. I didn't do it for any other reason." He turned his head away from her, revealing the cut on his cheek.
"Hang on you're hurt."
She reached her hand up to try and get a better look of the cut but he grabbed her by the wrist.
"It's nothing."
She frowned, "it doesn't look like nothing. Let me have a look."
"No."
She somehow managed to grab him by his hands and held his hands down with one hand as she examined the cut. She took a tissue from the tissue box on the seat next to her and carefully dabbed the blood away. Still holding a tissue to his face, she looked around the car for something that can cover the wound. Then she remembered she always kept a band-aid in the back of her phone for emergencies. Taking a band-aid out, she peeled it and placed it on his cheek. She smoothed out the band-aid and smiled, "better?"
His cheeks were colored from what she did and he didn't meet her eyes.
"Mr. Park Deo-" the driver called out
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that? You're making sound old."
"My apologies sir, we have arrived at the university."
"Alright, please escort Min-Seo to the front doors of her dorm building."
"Of course sir." He got out of the driver seat and opened the door for her.
"Thank you Ho-Jin."
"After you," Ho-Jin gestured his hand out for her to take it.
"Thank you." She smiled at him. She looked back at Deok-su but he was busy looking out the window. She looked down and walked back to her dorm.
"Hey Ho-Jin can I ask you a question?"
"I suppose."
"If Deok-su is part of the Mafia, why are you calling him with such formality?"
He looked around and saw Deok-su was still in the car.
"His father is the boss of the Seoul Mafia. His mother is the founder of the company, MC Door Bin"
"The MC Door Bin?" Her eyes lit up with excitement.
MC Door Bin was a well known revolving door manufacturing company. It was kinda hard to believe that James was the child of
Park Ji-woo. She looked back at the car and tried to understand what it must be like to grow up in a well known family. A wealthy feared family. He must have had so much to live up to. When she got back to the dorm building she thanked Ho-Jin and went in. She made her way up to the seventh floor and into her dorm room.
