Elio left shortly after the two of you had kissed. You had never felt so wonderful, well you had once, when a girl complimented the way you carried yourself - that was last summer. But right now, here, in your Italian villa, you felt ecstatic. It was as if you were floating on cloud nine when your lips touched Elios. Magical, truly magical.

You had never seen anything flow so quickly, not in your own life at least. You weren't sure if you were exactly happy with it. But at the same time you knew you wouldn't have forever, you'd be on your way home soon enough. You needed to make the most of these moments. Whether they were too soon or not. It's not as if it mattered, you're fated to part ways.

Maybe, that's what the problem with summer romances was, they were just romances – moments, a little fling before going back to reality.

You sighed as you made your way out of bed, the clock reading 8.03am. Trailing your hands across the garments you had brought you wondered if you would see Elio today.

Picking out a pair of high waisted loose denim shorts and a tie-up floral shirt you had a quick shower before changing into your outfit. Humming along to the familiar song on the radio you looked around for a pair of shoes.

Finally you battled your hair and face. Not tempering with it too much you left your hair relatively natural and decided on only doing your mascara and applying a peach lipgloss; which you had picked up near the arcade the other day.

After having breakfast with your family they decided they wanted a pool day, which you were thankful for. It was almost too hot to be trailing around a tourist site.

Walking up to your room to grab a towel you fiddled with the lock on your door. Suddenly you heard your phone ringing from inside. 'Shit', you whispered under your breath.

Finally the lock opened and you rushed over to the phone, not having time to close the door. You must've picked up on the last ring because you heard a small gasp from the other end of the line.
