The next day

Cassie's POV

I rolled over in bed, and smiled up at the ceiling. Last night was exactly how I imagined it. Adam kissed me, and it was absolutely perfect. I felt all giddy inside, like a little child on Christmas.

Unfortunately, I had to work today. I didn't really know how I was gonna focus on crazy, annoying customers, when I just had the best date of my life.

I let out a groan, knowing I had to get out of bed now.
I walked into the bathroom, and took a shower.

When I came out, I walked over and grabbed my work clothes, throwing them on. I put on some makeup and tied my hair back in a ponytail. My natural hair was wavy so I was happy with how it looked.

I grabbed my bag, and got in my car.

I arrived at the hotel about 20 minutes later because of some traffic. I walked in, and up to the front desk.
Dan was talking to some new guy, but I couldn't see his face because his back was to me.

"Hi Dan!" I said, waving at him.
Dan smiled. "Hey Cassie!! Come over here please."
I obeyed, and walked around the desk and stood next to Dan.
At this point, I could see the new guy's face.
I recognized him.
He was the cashier from the store. What the fuck was he doing here??
Before I could open my mouth to speak my thoughts, Dan spoke to me.
"So, Cass, how was your date last night?"
My mouth dropped open at Dan's obliviousness.
I let out a nervous laugh, "Um, it was perfect. Thanks for asking."
I couldn't help but have a huge smile on my face. I could feel the new guy's eyes on me.
"Okay, this is Luke. He's starting today." Dan spoke after a minute.
I smiled at Luke. "Welcome."
Dan looked between both of us. "Okay, well Cassie, show Luke around. I have a meeting."
Before I could protest, Dan was gone.
I turned to Luke, smiling a little.
"I've seen you before."
He smirked. "I've seen you too."
"Weren't you working at that one store like a day ago?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I wanted something different. I hated it there. And I noticed there was a 'help wanted' sign up here yesterday."
I was confused. "Okaaaay..."
Did Dan do that when I left last night? Probably.
I smiled up at Luke again. I couldn't help but admire his body and face. He had brown shaggy hair, with brown eyes, a defined jaw, and a really sexy smile.
But what was I thinking? No one could beat Adam in any department.
I motioned for him to follow me.
He obeyed, and he circled around the desk.
"Okay, did Dan give you your log in information when he hired you?"
Luke nodded. "Yeah, why?"
"Well, when you run the desk for the day, you have to use it."
Luke moved closer to me. "Okay."
I moved away from the computer, also putting distance between me and Luke.
I started walking backwards toward the towel room.
"This is the towel room, where you go when you're on towel duty. We might be on it together, you never know. Dan decides."
Luke smirked. "That sounds great."
I let out a small laugh, "Um yeah."
Luke was now standing in front of me, inching closer, but I stepped back.

Just then I heard a voice.
"Hey babe."
I turned and Adam was smiling at me.
My face lit up.
"Adam!!"
I turned to Luke. "Please watch the front desk."
He nodded, glancing at Adam, then sitting down.
I raced around the desk, and jumped in his arms. He caught me, and I wrapped my legs around him.
Adam let out a cute laugh. "Wow, I like that hello."
I giggled, and kissed him. "I just missed you, that's all."
Adam smiled that adorable smile, and kissed me back.
"I just wanted to visit you at work. I'm sure you're really busy.." Adam said playfully.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, totally." I replied sarcastically.
Adam stared at me, a cute smirk on his face.
"What?" I replied.
"You're just so cute." He said.
I grabbed Adam's hand, and pulled him towards the desk.
"Well Dan isn't here right now. He's in a meeting."
I said, smiling at Adam.
He rose an eyebrow. "Oh really?"
I laughed. "Yes, but don't even think about it Levine."
He laughed, smirking at me.
"So it's just you?" He asked.
"No. It's me and Luke." I responded, motioning to Luke.
Luke heard me, and walked over. He held out his hand for Adam to shake.
"I'm Luke Martin." He said.
"Adam Levine."
I couldn't really read Luke's expression, but he didn't look happy that Adam was here. But I wasn't worried about it. All I was worrying about was Adam.
"So..." Adam started, grabbing my hands.
I looked up at him, raising an eyebrow.
"Do you want to come over to my place tonight?" He asked.
I thought for a minute. It wouldn't hurt.
"Sure."
Adam looked relieved. "Oh thank god. I was nervous as hell to ask you."
I laughed, "Why?"
"Because you make me a little nervous. You're so beautiful. And I am always confident!! Look what you're doing to me!!" He said jokingly.
I giggled. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, you make me nervous too."
Adam smirked, and put his hands on my face gently. "Good, that means you like me."
I couldn't help but blush as Adam kissed me.
"See you tonight?"
I nodded, and with one last kiss, he left.
I circled back around to the desk.
I was in a love trance, and this scared me a little. I never get this way. But it was Adam. And he was worth it.
"So it looks like you guys are in love." Luke said.
I laughed. "We're getting there."

I just wanted my shift to be over. This was the moment when time needed to move fast.
