Fire and ice

Chapter 3

Both Natsu and Gray knew they had to work together but neither would admit it to the other.

Gray had suggested what he knew was true and played it out as a joke so the even more dense Natsu wouldn't notice.

"Hey do you wanna listen to some music?" asked Gray

After both Natsu and Gray realized the "demon" they thought was a mere statue. A huge one at that.

"I don't know" Natsu replied after realizing that would put them on a very small amount of space because of the ear buds but what the hell they were already cuffed to eachother.

"Why not" Natsu said changing his mind.

"Alright." Gray replied turning on a song he thought Natsu might like.

Suddenly the song 'burn it to the ground' turned on and Natsu started jammin wailing on his air guitar and singing along.

"Oh god" thought Gray

Then came 'iron man' and they both jammed to the song.

It started to get dark so they both decided to find a spot for the night.

"I'll start us a fire" Natsu said

" I'll make us a roof over our heads and fire to keep the rain out."

"Alright it's a plan" Natsu said with a thumbs up.

After the building was done they say down both tired and ready for sleep from a long day of walking.

"How are we supposed to do this?" Gray asked a little confused

"Eh I slept with igneel all the time this shouldn't be any different." Natsu said

Then they layed down. Gray layed on Natsu's chest while Natsu put his hand behinde his head as a make shift pilliow.

"You're hot Natsu." Gray said

"Why thank you." Natsu said with a smirk

"Shut up that's not how I meant it." Gray said defensively

"Of course you didn't" Natsu chuckled

"Here let's do this" Gray turned in some music to stop the awkward silence that had come up after he said that and it was taken the wrong way.

No later they were dozing off and although they didn't notice the song had changed...

'You're hot and you're cold you're yes and you're no...'

The song went. It kept playing over and over until Natsu stopped paying attention. He looked down to see Gray sound asleep on his stomach with no sign of notice to the song...so he left it...all night...on repeat.
