"When I was in one of my old foster homes, they had a hammock in the backyard, but I was never allowed to use it. One of the daughters, she would always lay there with her boyfriend for hours. I always wanted something like that. And now... I have you. And, well, I noticed that... you have a hammock on the porch."

That memory had been resurfacing in her mind ever since the first time she visited Killian's house. The hammock was one of the very first things she noticed. As her relationship with Killian grew, so did her hope that one day she might sit in that hammock... with him with her.

Honestly, it wasn't even about the hammock and sitting in it. It was about the fact that she was allowed to do things now. That she actually had somebody to do those things with, and it meant the world to Emma.

"You want to go lay in the hammock with me?" Killian asked with an adoring grin.

Emma nodded, biting her lip. It wasn't even a question.

"Alright, Swan. Hammock it is."

Grabbing a blanket, Killian bent down and lifted Emma into his arms without any warning.

"Wha- Killian!" Emma exclaimed, clinging to him. Killian laughed and carried her outside.

"Put me down, you're gonna break your back!" Emma laughed.

"Oh, love, relax. I've carried rum barrels heavier than you," Killian assured her with that charming smile.

Only a moment later, Emma was laying against his chest with his arms around her, and the blanket covering the two of them. Snowflakes fell lightly beyond beyond the porch, landing in delicate piles on the ground.

"Saturday is my new favorite day," Killian mumbled, pressing a kiss to Emma's forehead. She smiled, nuzzling her nose into his chest.

"Mine too," she replied, resting her ear over his heart. "You're so warm."

Killian smiled. Why did he find that little statement so adorable and precious?

"This is going to be ours now. This moment, this is ours. Every Saturday at... what time is it," Killian mumbled, checking his phone, "...at 10:12 am, we're going to lay here on this hammock. 10:12 is ours," he declared.

"I like that," Emma smiled, glancing up at him.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

A dorky smile spread across Killian's face as her tucked her head under his chin to hold her closer.

"What's your favorite song?" Killian asked randomly after some silence.

Emma thought for a moment.

"Warrior, Demi Lovato," she replied.

It was a song she'd discovered a long while ago and it had gotten her through so much.

Killian hugged her closer when he heard her answer. When he thought about the lyrics, he realized how much the song suited.

"Now I'm a warrior... now I've got thicker skin... I'm a warrior... I'm stronger than I've ever been, and my armor, is made of steel, you can't get in, I'm a warrior... and you can never hurt me again..." Killian hummed quietly in Emma's ear, rocking the hammock gently.

Emma smiled.

"I love your voice," she said with a smile.

"Why thank you, love."

"You never told me you sing."

"I don't. Not anymore, at least," Killian mumbled.

Emma gave him a questioning glance.
