a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn,
and it comes like the stealthy perfume of
wildflowers hidden in the grass.

My fingers quickly clasp around the compact mirror that I had put in my bag, and I hold my breath as I open it and raise it to my neck.

Thankfully, I healed the burn in time before it could leave a scar. Normally I wouldn't worry like this about an injury, but I could never be too sure if a burn was bad enough to leave a mark.

When I place the mirror down on the table, my hands are trembling less and I take a deep breath before walking out of the room. I'm about to turn in the direction of the cafeteria, indicated by the helpful signs on the walls, when I see Bakugo turn at the end of the hallway in front of me.

There's no sign saying where it leads to, only pointing in the opposite direction of where he's heading and labeled 'Student Waiting Rooms'. Wherever it does lead, it's clearly not meant for visitors who don't know their way around the building.

Going against my better judgment, I create a mirage of myself and watch as it walks to the table I was at just moments before and sits down.

Why do I always feel so compelled to follow this guy? Instead of trying to answer my own question, I start walking down the hallway as well to catch up to him.

At first, I thought that I might have came too late and lost him, but the first hallway I reach after the initial turn is where I find Bakugo leaning against the wall in a stance I see all too often.

He must be just wanting some time to himself before the next event. I can't blame him, the one on one fights are up next.

Just as my foot takes a single step back to where I came from, I hear a familiar voice a little ways away. My eye twitches.

Of course, he's eavesdropping again. I shouldn't have expected anything different coming from him with his track record of getting up in other people's business.
