chapter 11

Hayley pov.

Steff still looked at me in shock.
I was mad at her, kehlani and the world.
With Steff for interrupting my moment with Kehlani, who keep run away from me.

"Are you going to tell me or what?" Steff said sitting on the couch.
"Not now, let's go to school" i said
"I can't wait to tell Marla"

I didn't know how it would explain what happened in the morning.
I couldn't stop thinking about Kehlani.
I was sitting in Steff's car and I touched my neck thinking about how Kehlani had kissed me there.
I remembered how his naked body had touched mine and suddenly Steff's car seemed to be at 1000 °F.

I had to open the window and try to make the air calm my horny thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Steff said.
"Yeah"

We got to school and I went to the first period with my head on another planet. All day in was in autopilot.

I was in the dressing rooms hiding from my friends. I couldn't explain to them what had happened.  Because neither I knew it had happened.

I heard a few voices in the distance.

"Are you dating Hayley? "
"What? No! "

It was Kehlani,  and the asshole Gary?  Gavin? whatever.

"I heard Edward say you had someone special and lately I see you with her"
"It's not what you think she's just my friend"
"Charlie then? "

It was all silent.

"I won't tell you anything" She said.
"Come on tell me I'm your friend"
"Okay,  it's Charlie but please don't tell anyone"
"Don't worry"
"Now let me go" She said
"Okay"

I heard the door closed and everything was silent. I looked at the wall unable to do anything.
She was a player. Blake was right.

After minutes in shock I started to cry.
Now I understood why she wanted to keep it a secret.
I almost gave my virginity to a player and a liar I felt stupid.
My phone buzz.

Kehlani:  lunch in the back of the field? 

I kept crying watching my phone screen.

I try to calm me down and I wash my face.

I don't know how many hours I spent trying to be okay

I didn't want to tell my friends because they'd go crazy and try to kill Kehlani right here.
So I decided to send a text to Blake.

Hayley: I need to talk to someone,  could you come to the dressing rooms of the pool?

Blake: I'm on my way.

I lay on a bench looking at the ceiling.
I heard a few steps near me.
"Hayley? "
"Hey!  I'm over here" I said.
"What happened to you? " She said sitting beside me.

I sat on the bench trying not to cry again.

"It's just a stupid thing" I said.
"Doesn't look like anything stupid"

I gave her a sad smile.

"You were right" I said.
"About what? "
"Kehlani"

She looked at me surprised.

"What did she do to you? "
"I thought she like me, but I was wrong"
"What happened? "
"She's with Charlie"
"She doesn't deserve you" She said angry.
"I know" I said.
"Did she tell you? "
"Not exactly"
"Will you tell her something? " She said.
"I don't think so"
"Good,  Because she was trying to make you think otherwise she's a professional player"
"It was my fault for imagining things that are not" I said sad.
"Don't blame yourself"
"Thanks Blake"
"I'm here for you when you need it"
