I hopped up the stairs to my apartment, and flung open the door. "Vanessa?" There was no response. I walked into her room, and found a note.

"Hope your day went well Maddie! I got caught up on set, they decided to shoot two extra scenes! HELP ME!"

Vanessa must have swung by the apartment on her lunch break. I didn't know my hours at the office, they originally told me it would be a half day. They basically just wanted to see what I knew, but I guess I did well. They asked me to stay a little over time, to help out!

I skipped into my bedroom, and kicked off my sneakers. I jumped into my sweats and a old baggy tee-shirt. It was from a camp I did in my junior year of high school, some lame survival camp. The brochure sounded cooler than it actually was, all our teacher did was cry about her recent breakup. Not the best experience of my life!

I walked into the living room, and plopped down on the couch. Messing up all of Vanessa's perfectly placed blankets. She always yells at me when I don't put the back the way they were, but the seldom times I do she yells at me for folding them wrong. So at this point I let her refold the blankets, and re arrange the pillows herself. I grabbed my laptop off the coffee table, and checked my mail.

Oh, two new notifications from Tinder! Vanessa always helps me pick out my dates, she separates the hot guys from the axe murders. I swear it's almost like Vanessa has some sort of magical power, whenever you need her she appears at just the right time.

"Maddie you back yet?" Vanessa called closing the door behind her.

See what I mean?

"Yes I'm in here!" I twist my body so I can see around the wall, and I motion Vanessa to come. She walks over and falls on the couch kicking her booties off. She didn't even try to miss the pillows, or move them first.

"You have no idea how many appointments I had today.  The director was like 'No more scenes today...oh wait we're behind!'  So guess who had to reapply all he zombie makeup-" Vanessa rambled for about five minutes, until she stopped mid sentence. "Oh my god! I'm actually so stupid! How was the office?"

"It was so awesome! They asked me to stay longer, and help out!" I bounce up and down on the couch.

"That's so awesome! I told you, that you were gonna rock the first day!" Vanessa looked over and grabbed my laptop. "Oh, what is this?"

"Some more notifications, I was waiting for my expert to pick them out. I can't be going on a date with a axe murder, now can I?" I tilt my head and look at the screen. Vanessa starts pulling up the website and she turns towards me.

"Okay, guy number one. His name is Jackson.  Kinda far from where we live in SoHo, about a two hour drive." Vanessa clicks on his profile and reads his bio. "His bio reads 'I'm 6'2, and I like short girls...' Ok so far so good. "Plus girls who have a sense of humor, and...' "  Vanessa's eyes continued reading, but she stopped reading out loud.  I tried to peek around, but I was too late. "Well that's enough of Jackson." Vanessa closed the tab.

"What did the rest say?" I tried leaning over again, but the tab was gone.  I laugh and nudge Vanessa.

"Anyways moving on." Vanessa opens a new tab. "Ok guy number twos name is Andrew, and he is 26. He lives in Manhattan so about a 20 minute drive, not too bad. His bio reads 'Amazing guy! Wish I could be him. Signed Justin Bieber. So cool! And so sweet, any girl would be lucky to have him! Signed Oprah.' Wow!" Vanessa starts busting up, and before I know it, I am too. We're both stuck re-reading his bio, and it gets funnier the more we read it. "Oh wait there's more! It says 'Nah! I'm just playing! I love girls who aren't afraid to speak their minds, or be themselves. I like when girls don't spend hours trying to get ready, and come without makeup! They should know they are beautiful inside and out.' Wow I think he won over every girls heart."
