A Seo Kang Joon story.

Ahn Hee Yeon (Hani) of EXID

Hani

I was warned.

The forest is not invited for anyone. Atleast from what my grandma used to tell me. Especially me, since I'm the only one stubborn enough not to listen. It's always those times when nobody is around and I am playing by myself in the balcony that the forest seems so inviting for me.

How the darkness and eerie sounds like a deer being strangled  can be heard from where I stood. I am four but I am wise, mom used to brag it on her friends. My friends moms.

I was curious,

I remember my grandma's scary stories of a goblin abducting children and taking their teeth out. That one alone still lingers in my memories. I am scared, but my curiosity ate the best of me. My feet tremble as I walk alone the path towards the dark eerie forest.

I clearly remember it was around December of 2005, since we go over to granny's during the Christmas Vacation. Where the weather is cold enough for sun and heat. I don't mind. I never like the sun either. I wonder why I love the snow. How the first fall make my heart flutter.

With trembling hands not from the cold but due to the scary stories that seems to start creeping me out, I still walk forward. My tiny feet and hands looking for something I don't know.

It feels so oddly familiar.

How the twigs from each branches seems coming from a strange memory I never knew I had. How I seem to know where I should go. Each step I take seems like having a picture of a forest I knew all too well.

Out of the blue I stopped in my tracks. I was lost in the middle, the familiarity of the place all gone, vanishing from my memories when I heard a rustle from somewhere.

A small scared gasp escaped my mouth when snarling, hungry wolves came out of nowhere. They have sharp teeth, they snarl and growl looking at me with such intense gaze. Amidst all of that, I don't know why I wasn't so scared.

I feel like the goblin might abduct me any minute and just take my teeth away. The idea seem to calm me since my teeth would grow back anyway. That would be a better end than getting ripped into pieces and shreds and spend an eternity into the wolves hungry stomachs.

I closed my eyes and turned into a ball, hugging my tiny legs and keeping my head on my tiny arms.

From somewhere I heard another snarl but it did not bother me. It made me at ease.

Had the goblin try to abduct me?

Hope came raining down on me. I raised my head and found nobody. No wolves, no goblin.

" Who are you" a cold voice asked me.  His voice awfully familiar. I heard my heart thumping madly on my chest as I get a nice view of his pale face, his red lips, his scarred expression, and his ocean blue eyes... So warm it almost melted the cold from the weather. Almost.

His curious eyes never escape mine. He stayed at a distance while I stood up.

" I am Ahn Hani! Thank you for coming to save me Mr. Goblin!" I blurted out of the sudden, my cheeks so red from the cold. My nose getting runny. I love the cold nevertheless.

" Save? I am not supposed to meddle with you humans." My brows met in confusion.

" But you did." I muttered in a low voice feeling dejected.
