Chapter 10- Hunter Has A Crush?

Hunter sat back in his seat, next to youtuber Hoodlum Scrafty.

"Hey, man," Callum said. "You alright?"

Hunter sighed.

"My best friend Nate Smith and I got into a fight. We got along so well, and then he got a girlfriend. I don't know what came over me, but I told him I didn't want her here anymore, and so he moved out.'

Callum froze.

"Nate Smith?" he asked.

Hunter nodded.

"Yea. He's been living with me since escaping the Orlando bombing."

"I've been searching for him!" he exclaimed happily. "Sorry. But it sounds like you might be jealous of this girl."

Hunter chuckled.

"It's okay," he said. "Give me your details, and I'll give them to Eriel and see if I can get them to Nate."

Hunter stopped. Jealous? Could he really be jealous of Morgan? It was actually entirely possible he was. As if reading his mind, Callum squeezed Hunter's hand.

"Tell me how you feel about Nate."

"Well," Hunter said softly, "he's sweet, and he's weird like me. Funny. A beast at video games. Total Nintendo fanboy, like me. God, the way his eyes sparkle when he smiles or laughs. And his smile is the most ridiculously adorable thing I've ever seen. He has this half smile, half smirk. And when he sleeps, he looks so innocent, so at peace, despite everything he went through. And when he was telling me how much he loves Zoroark, how excited he got. And just the way he talks about games like Twilight Princess, and Ni no Kuni."

Callum chuckled.

"I found the problem. Nate has a girlfriend. But Hunter's in love with Nate."

Hunter froze. In love with Nate? Him? Actually, it made sense.

"I should tell him," he said.

Callum nodded.

"Especially if you want your friend back. And even if Nate doesn't feel the same, try to accept his girlfriend. If you really care about him, then that's one of the best ways to show it."

Hunter nodded.

"I'd better get home," he said. "I have to call Nate and tell him I need to talk to him."

Callum scribbled down his phone number on two pieces of paper.

"Remember to give these to Eriel and Nate."

Hunter put them in his wallet.

"Of course," he said. "And thanks. For the advice. You've probably just saved my friendship."

Callum smiled.

"Hopefully, I've improved it," he said. "See you around."

Hunter chuckled and went to his car, driving to his apartment.
