Vanessa is a werewolf by nature but her water abilities can often conflict within her every day life. Even though she inherited half of the Artic Water Tribe's capabilities, she can used them to defend herself.
Her family because have they concealed their abilities for so long, no longer call themselves true water benders.
A sign of her heritage is found within her blood, family insignia and her birth scars.
Birth scars.
All of her family members and fellow Artic Tribe Members carry a half shaped crescent moon on their left hands, the size of a walnut.
The crescent shape is a testimony to their allegiances with the tribe and tribe laws.
It identifies them as water benders for this particular tribe as well.
Vanessa's Scar
Her scar is usually concealed and only glows when her hands are immersed in water.
This concealing was done as a protection for her family against werewolf hunters and former enemies of the 4 Water Tribes.
Healings :
Vanessa is able to perform blood healing and because of this, is restricted by the Arctic Water Tribe laws to practice blood bending.
