You know that feeling where your so embarrassed that your stomach just feels sick? That you just can't breathe, and your just waiting for someone to laugh in your face. So you try to avoid them at all costs? Well that's what I was doing. I was avoiding Wanda's neighbour like he was the plague.
I couldn't bare to confront him. I was afraid that he would tell everyone that I got terrified over a stupid name he called me.
So here I was, trying to sneak around the halls like a snake in the desert.
I new my tactics wouldn't work, but hey worth a try right? I was the worst possible hider ever. "Found you." Someone said from behind me.
I cringed and immediately wished I could suddenly be invisible. Told you I was bad at hiding, this is why I don't play hide and seek. That and whenever I trip over something I scream, which happens a lot thanks to my horrible genes.
I turned around still cringing. "Hiii." I said awkwardly. I didn't want to sound like I was hiding something.. more like hiding everything.
"Have you been avoiding me?" He asked me leaning back against the wall slightly. His shirt lifted up a little showing off his v that his pants wasn't covering. I quick adverted my eyes, not wanting him to catch me staring.
"N-no?" I mumbled making it sound more like a question than a statement. Wanda's Neighbour stared at me not convinced.
"Your a horrible liar, you know that right." the corners of my mouth pulled upwards, I tried to push them back down but it suddenly didn't seem humanly possible to do so.
"Shush." I mumbled staring down at my dirty white nurse shoes. My glasses were sliding off my nose so I pushed them back up and stared up at the boy staring down at me.
"So do I actually get to tell you my name? Or are you going to run away from me again?" I quickly looked away from him and stared anywhere else that my eyes would go. I could feel my cheeks flaring up in bright red.
"You blush a lot." He commented, still looking down at me, he had a smile on his face.
"Shut up no I don't." I mumbled.
"My name is-"
'BRIIIING!'
I smiled politely, then turned around and walked down the hall towards my first class. 'Saved by the bell.' I slowly walked to my first class, trying to hold back a smile.
He really did look good today.
I stared at my scrummy white nurse shoes, I blew out a breath and kept walking. I don't know why I don't want to hear what his name is. I guess it's because I never want to be close to someone again like I had been with my Father.
I opened my classroom door and walked over to my seat in the very front. I slowly lowered my bag on the back of my chair and took out a pencil, and a piece of paper to write down the notes on the board.

Lunch.
The time most nerds like myself dread.
I stared at the lunch room door and took a deep breath.
I slowly opened the metal doors that made me feel like I was going into a insane asylum. A giant whoosh of air that smelled of burned Pizza and cheap perfume hit me like a thousand bricks. The stench burned my nose, but I kept walking towards the lunch lines. No matter the struggle my nose was going through I would ear the dry lunch room food.
I stood in the line behind a couple jocks talking about what they did last Saturday. They're conversation drilled a hole in my brain and made me feel like I just lost 20 IQ points right there.
