Chapter 15; Rival

"There's finally some news?!" An elder man around his late 30 exclaim in happiness. His second eldest daughter—Xia LanYin finally have a confirmed news after years of searching.

"Test the DNA, we have to make sure everything is correct this time." The male exclaimed as another female who's currently sitting on a wheel chair listen to the conversation in secret. She bite her lips gently, wheeling the back to her room to make a phone call.

"XingJie, come to my room real quick. It's emergency!" The disabled female said as the male answer the call.

"YuYin, are you invited to YeNing's birthday party?" YanChen asked as the male laid his head on the brunette's lap. They are close friend and everyone at the school know that. Yet, YanJun can't help but felt an overwhelming jealousy going though his heart. Even if he's just watching a distance everytime he pass by YuYin's classes.

"No... I don't want to go either way. So, I really don't care." YuYin said as she close her books, brushing the male's hair instead.

"Gosh, you never go to any social event. Sometimes I question if you are even from planet Earth" YanCheng said with a sigh as he close his eye.

"XiaoYu Jie! XiaoYu Jie!" Justin from afar run closer to YuYin before he stop to catch a breath. YuYin raised her eyebrow as she saw the male's hurry expressions.

"Here," YuYin said as she handed him a water bottle. "Thanks," Justin said as he open the bottle of water.

"So, YanJun lives with you now, right?" Justin said with a surprise expression before giving YuYin a large bag of defense item.

YanChen immediately sit up as he watch the bag fall on YuYin's lap. Thank goodness he was close enough.

"So, there's pepper spray, mouse trap, bells, rocks, hm... just pretty much everything I found that can help you defense yourself." Justin exclaimed as he show each item in the back to her.

"What's those for?" YanChen asked with disbelief. Justin look up at the Sophomore year male before he look at YuYin, his hand holding YuYin's shoulder.

"I know he's a flirt, but I never expected him to be that bad until I come to this school. Promise me you'll protect yourself, Jie!" Justin said before letting go of the female's shoulder. Justin watch as the female slowly curl up her lips, a laughter escapes her lips before he watch in disbelief.

"Thanks Justin, I'll protect myself." YuYin said before accepting the bag of weapon and place them in her school bag. YuYin laugh at how cute this younger male acts... after all, she never see someone this cute before, besides XiaWan.

YanJun sigh as he glance at the time. YuYin is probably still with YanChen, leaving him alone in the house. A sigh escaped his lip as he felt his stomach growl.

"I'm home," the voice said, making the male quickly run downstairs to greet the brunette who carried a bag of food home. He can't help it- his body automatically went forward to YuYin, hugging her in a tight embrace before he got pushed back by the female.

"Gosh... go get some other girls to hug," YuYin said before putting the food on the table. A smile come onto YanJun's smile as he saw YuYin's behavior. "Just admit, you like my hugs."

"I don't like any physical contact, especially-" before YuYin gets to finish her sentence YanJun cuts her off. "What about YanChen? You seem to be okay with his contact."

"He's different, I know him for almost 6 years now." Despite the brunette don't have to explain the situation to the male, YuYin still did. A phone call caught the brunette's attention before she answer the call.

"Hello?" YuYin said briefly before going upstairs, leaving the male alone in the living room. His stomach growl again, making him open the food YuYin brought home. A notification turn on, making himself raised his eyebrow in confusion and surprise.

Task; Make Xia YeNing your girlfriend.

The male frozen to see the task, he quickly picked up his phone to text M, the person behind this game.

'Why do I have to get a girlfriend?! Isn't I'm supposed to change droplet's fate?' YanJun texted before a quick reply is seen.

'You're too out of character, getting another girlfriend is the best way to let you stay in character.' YanJun read the reply before throwing his phone to the side. It meant for him to continue playing with other's heart until things change. Gosh, how he hated all of this, especially the new task.

"He already found me...?" YuYin said faintly before glancing at a family photo of 7. Out of the seven family members, five of them seems so distance. Like the most familiar strangers you can ever meet in life.

"Thank you, I'm already prepare on what's going to happen. Don't worry," YuYin said before hanging up her phone. A sigh escaped her lips before she stands up.

Her head suddenly felt heavy and dizzy. Her heart racing to the point of explosion. She can barely see anything as she fall on the floor, letting darkness consume her.

"Just a few more days until he'll awake your power." A voice whisper from outside the window, mumbling to herself before walking away under the night sky. The night is beautiful, and so is the city sky view from above.
